Evan Essence review

Evan Essence, an erotica DVD, “made especially for women who love and enjoy men” does not quite live up to its name, or its mission. When I got the package I was so excited and was more than ready to pop it into the DVD player. My partner and I stuck it in there and turned it on, expecting some exciting scenes that spanned the decades, as the back of the cover expresses. Not so much…

There were about six different scenes from six different decades—the fifties, a detective-type scene, a flapper scene, eighties dancing, etc. Each scene started out with a man and woman interacting, not talking as each scene was sans conversation. They would begin with kissing, and very quickly progress to kissing and the next scene would be the woman giving the guy a blowjob. This would last for a while and then the man would penetrate the woman, from behind, and this would continue for about five minutes and result in him jerking off onto her face and chest. Virtually every scene was verbatim this format with little or no variation. Some scenes, maybe 1 or 2, involved cunnilingus.

My biggest complaint with this DVD is that it is specifically aimed at women who ‘love and enjoy men’ but it appears to be all about the man’s pleasure. I personally do not enjoy fellatio and do not use that as a form of sexual expression with my partner. I would have really liked to see more of a man going down on a woman, or breast simulation. Even more making out and kissing would have been great.

I did enjoy the penetration, but again, some variation other than just from behind, doggy-style fucking would have been nice to see. For women looking for something more that expresses more of a variety for penetrative sex.
