Everyone's a Winner

I think "G is for Games" is another great installation in the alphabet erotica series. I can see many of the stories being the backbone for some creative re-imaginings of other games. There's nothing overtly dark in here, so I think it would make a good first book for someone exploring erotica, or as part of a collection.

About author

This anthology of game-themed erotica had 13 authors, 12 of whom were women. Most of them I didn't recognize, but the editor (Alison Tyler) has a story of her own in here, and Rachael Kramer Bussel, who also edits erotic anthologies, also had a story included.

Content / Style / Audience

"G is for Games" was a healthy mix of mostly heterosexual stories with a couple of lesbian and bi/gay male ones thrown in for good measure. There's also a touch of kink, and perhaps a brush against consensual nonconsent, though like with any anthology you can read the ones you like and skip the rest. There's nothing too out there in this, in my opinion, which makes it a good gift for someone just starting to explore erotic fiction.

Design

This has a glossy, well-designed book cover. I say it's discreet because it simply has the title decorated with a pinup girl, which is pretty nondescript anymore!

Follow-up commentary
It's a cute book, but I don't tend to pick it up to read the stories that often in comparison to other erotica collections. It's good for reading stories aloud though, and I do that sometimes!
