Excellent book for beginners to the experienced

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for more information on how to give a blow job and/or ways to spice things up in that department (shaving, different positions to try, deep throating). It is well researched, including quotes from people who filled out surveys on their experiences with fellatio. Great book!

Violet Blue does an amazing job writing about sex in an intelligent and sensitive way. She looks at the whole picture and doesn't stereotype gender, desires, or actions. I've read anthologies that she's edited, and am definitely interested in reading more books that she's written.

Content / Style / Audience

This book is primarily geared at those who want to learn more about the act of fellatio - those new to it or wanting to "improve" their technique. But it also has useful information for those more experienced, like shaving, positions, how to deep throat and great resources at the end.

The cover of the book is appealing, as it the size, and the way the information is laid out inside.

Personal comments

This book was extremely informative. It covered male anatomy, sexual pressure points, quotes from people about their experience with fellatio. It looks at fellatio as more than just "insert tab A into slot B" - that it is more involved both physically and emotionally for those giving and receiving. It is educational, interesting, thought provoking and has cute illustrations. There are also a number of short stories by Alison Tyler.

Experience

I requested to review this book, because I have limited experience with fellatio. My husband enjoys my going down on him, but I wanted to feel more confidence in what I'm doing. I also liked the idea of being about to deep throat him, which this book explains how to do successfully (hopefully). Due to a testicle injury, I haven't been able to try out what I've learned, but I'll write a follow up once my husband is healed.

Now that hubby is all healed, I've been able to try out tips from the book on him - and he is pleased! The best tips I learned were:

1. How to use both my mouth and hands to get him off
2. The different areas where he might be more sensitive and find more pleasure
3. How to position myself to deep throat him (and it works!)

I chose this book because I was curious, but now I'm practically a BJ pro/whore. I have returned to the book a number of times to be reminded of how I can please my man.
