Speed by Wicked Pictures - review by Kayla

Speed is a three-hour and 10-minute adult movie that focuses on hot sex and motorcyles. The entire movie uses condoms. The movie contains 11 different sex scenes. This movie has a strong storyline, and it is directed by Brad Armstrong. There are quite a few stars in this movie as well as a lot of group sex scenes.

The packaging on this DVD was slightly annoying. It's neat how collectible it is, but I do have to wonder about the environmental aspect of using way too much packaging. The DVD itself comes in a little slipcover, the slipcovered DVD comes in a huge box, and the huge box comes in a slipcover of its own. Inside of all of that, the regular-sized DVD case contains four DVDS: Main feature, Special features on two disks, and a Wicked Sampler disk.

The storyline was okay. I wasn't overly impressed by it, but it wasn't horrible either. The story would be a lot better if Wicked would have stuck to one area. Instead, they tried to spread out the entire story through quite a few different characters, so you really don't get much of an attachment to a character really nor what the character is going through. Basically, you learn a lot of stuff about the gang itself including a shooting, a short romance between people, lots of sex, a heist, bribery from the police, and a lot of other things. There were just a lot of different mini-plots to follow, and I think Wicked has done a lot better job with some of their other movies. Along with that, the plot itself didn't wrap up too amazingly, and there were a couple loose ends (did the girl die?). The movie also ended pretty sadly with jail time, death, and other things, so I was a bit disappointed that the movie ended this way.

One of our favorite aspects of this adult movie was the outfits. The girls really have a lot of cute, bad-ass-looking outfits: chains, leather, belt, short skirts, sexy heels and such. I wasn't much of a fan of everyone having an insane amount of tattoos, but I know some other people will be a lot more interested in tattoos and piercings than I am.

The acting was pretty good for a porn movie. It wasn't Hollywood-film believable, but it's a lot better than what I've seen in other movies. The characters were definitely believable.

The sex itself was okay. I like the fact that there were so many varied sex scenes. Almost all of the sex scenes had three or more participants, and the male/female scenes that only had two people were unique in the acts and setting. I actually really liked how many group scenes that this movie had, and they were pretty good to watch. However, the scenes did tend to get jumped into. For example, we'd be in another place in the story, and then we'd be brought into a sex scene. Sometimes the scene was explained afterwards as to why we were having it, and sometimes it really was just sex for the sake of having sex in there. I was a bit sad as I like feature films since the sex usually fits in well.

I was really impressed by the fact that a lot of female pleasure was featured in this movie. There was a lot of oral female pleasure, and there was a lot of female pleasure in some of the woman-on-woman scenes as well. The focus was still on the male orgasm, but there seemed to be a lot more equality during the sex than usually seen in mainstream films. It was definitely sexy.

The special features include Club Culture (information about the motorcycle culture), Girls of Speed (Video of the girl's photoshoots), Bloopers, Shiny Side Up (Interviews with the riders), Kickin' It (Interviews with the cast), The Making Of feature, and the Box Shoot. The second special features disk included deleted scenes, the extended orgy scene, BTS sex, bonus sex scenes, trailers from Speed and other Wicked movies, a promo reel, and a digital copy of the movie. There are a LOT of bonus sex scenes, so you get a lot of sex for your purchase. The special features had serious sound issues, and one feature would be really loud while the next would be VERY quiet.

Overall, I liked "Speed", but I wasn't as impressed as I have been with past Wicked films. I love the idea of having a storyline in a porn, and Wicked's feature films are usually really good. However, I feel like Speed's main plot was just a bit too disjointed and spread among too many subplots for me to get really drawn in and attracted to the characters (and therefore be turned on by their sex). If you like group sex scenes, though, it's definitely worth picking up!

Speed never really caught our attention enough for a second watch-through. It was okay enough, and I remember some of the premise, but unless someone asks for a porn featuring pretty cars, I tend not to recommend it to anyone. We also haven't watched it again as it really just didn't have much 'staying power" with us.
