Fifty Shades Of Hot!

This book has some info of the dom and sub life style I really didn't know so while Ana is looking it up so was I. I was somewhat as shocked as she was, and just like her I wanted to do it as well. Funny what we find out about ourselves from a book. This book can turn you on, over, and upside down all in one. And at the end it is leaving you wanting more.

extremely useful review
First off if you don't want anyone to know you are reading this book, you’re good here. It comes in a discreet shipping box and the label states only “Web Merchants Inc.”. The book is a soft cover. I think the cover is discreet; however, the name is very clear. The way everyone is talking people would notice the title easily. The book is 20 x 5 x 1 inches. The author is E.L. James and published by Vintage Books and division of Random House Inc. There are 514 erotic pages in this book. The pages are very clear along with the type. No blurry letters. The paper is not overly thin. To me the paper is good quality. It is not thin where it would rip easily.

I got my book on September 6, 2012. I sat down ready to see what all the hype is all about. I know I sound like a little kid being dared to do something. Well I have to say this book keeps you entertained from the get go. The story line is a good one.

It is about a girl named Ana who is about to graduate college. She interviews this man Mr. Grey for her friend who is ill for their paper. He sounds like the guy who would play James Bond and Matthew McConaughey all wrapped up in one package. That’s my interpretation of him, at least. The guy sounds hot and that is who I came up with. Anyways, he is pursuing her because he wants her to be his submissive. She has no idea of anything because, low and behold, she is a virgin.

Mr. Grey is kind of all messed up in the head because of his childhood. She is all head over heels for him. They sign an agreement. There’s a little spanking here and there and a lot of sex. It’s pretty much on every other page, which I found pretty hot. I have used handcuffs before but, my God, I wish I was spanked the way he does her in this book!

I am not one to read and tell so I am not giving any more away.

I think reading this with a partner would be great, since you can reenact what you’re reading in your own bedroom. What they do can be used on anyone you choose and that is hot! I am not one to read this kind of book. Usually I read true crime. I am ordering book two of this series tomorrow because she left me hanging at the end of this book. To find out what happens, which now I have to know, I have to get the next book. Bravo, E.L., bravo all the way around.

I would say anyone can read this book and from what I’ve seen on Good morning America they are. It is good for couples, just ask anyone who has read it. Or look at the news. There are names for babies that are going to be born 9 months from when this hit the market from what I have heard. I can see why.

This is easy to travel with and easy to hide if you want to because you can make a book cover. It is an easy read with no real big words. I would say my daughter, who is 12 and reads at a high school level, could have read this book two years ago. So even if you’re not a great at reading, this is easy and a great read.
Follow-up commentary
I have reread parts of this book. I have also had to do some research on a Dom and Sub relationship. This book is for beginners in a Dom and Sub relationship, or those wanting to start doing this. From what I have come up with, this book is light play, but maybe I don't rightly know. An advanced Dom and Sub reading this may read this and say that it is a poorly written book, or even that it's slow. I, however, being new to all of this, find it very arousing. I can see why there has been a hike in sale in sex toys due to these books.

Just finished all three books -- writing as terrible, but the book still kept me interested.

Well, the writing deserved to be nominated to the Worst Writing Ever award - and win by far the best in its category. Yet, the book is entertaining enough to make you forget about it and just stick to the story. On the first book I cried at the end, on the second book, I was like OMFG! WOW; and on the last book I was like SO SWEET! Now I just want a guy like Mr. Grey.

    Great review btw!
