Girl talk...or lack thereof.

Digital Playground failed to hit the mark with this one. It wasn't funny or playful as the trailer led me to believe.

Girl Talk by Digital Playground is a mainstream hetero adult film with minimal plot. Kayden Kross stars as the playful, sexy roommate who is tragically out of reach to her shy roommie Mick Blue. After kicking Blue and his buddy Scott Nails out for the evening to host "girl's day," Scott cleverly talks Mick into dressing as women and crashing their fun. Mick goes along with the crazy plot in the hopes of getting into Kayden's panties. Wacky encounters ensue!

The film opens on Kayden Kross during a "test drive" with Tony Ribas. Their scene together is tender, and almost romantic. He riles her into screaming orgasms that are a pleasure to watch.

Lily LaBeau gets nasty with the pizza delivery boy Manuel Ferrara, prompting one of the best lines I have ever heard in an X rated film: "Ok, fine, lady, I'll fuck you, but you're still paying for the pizza." It was definitely a laugh out loud moment and one of my favorite scenes of the film. A bit of ass smacking and throat gripping goes a long way in a mainstream movie. Right on!

The steamy gigolo Charles Dera takes Sara Stone off into a secluded area to become "closer acquainted." This private alcove turns out to be Mick's room. Poor guy, someone should tell him he ought to wash his sheets! My DVD encountered a technical difficulty during this scene. I found it rather drawn out and somewhat boring. The amount of roughness during this scene seemed forced and over-dramatized.

Loni Evans seduces Scott Nails and blows their cover when Kayden walks in to find Scott sporting a rather festive sundress while pounding into Loni.

The final scene is between Kayden and her new found love, or lust, Mick Blue. Kayden is sexy, and incredible to watch. The film ends with a smile and a facial, as most good love stories do.

Unfortunately I was unable to watch this on blu-ray. Although, I thought the quality of the DVD was amazing. It was shot in HD so the picture is amazingly clear and detailed.

Actors

In order of final credits: Kayden Kross, Lily LaBeau, Loni Evans, Sara Stone, Charles Dera, Manuel Ferrara, Mick Blue, Scott Nails, Tony Ribas.

Some acting was good, and some was bad. However, just because I didn't enjoy it doesn't mean it was all bad. I mostly disliked it because of a lack of connection mentally/emotionally between the actors.

DVD Features

DVD special features: special bonus trailers, 16 x 9 widescreen format, slide show/photo gallery, chapter index, behind the scenes featurette.

Blu-ray special features: special bonus trailers, photo gallery, chapter index, behind the scenes featurette.

From glancing at the cover one could easily determine that this is an adult movie. Kayden is on the front, looking deliciously naughty with detailed photos of the cast on the back along with a short blurb that outlines the basic plot of the film. It seems to be a standard for most adult films to showcase the cast in some way on the case. Personally, it was rather helpful to see the names and faces of who I would be watching on screen before I put in the DVD.

Experience

At first the music didn't bother me, but after a while I started dreading the scenes between the fucking because the music was so overbearing that it drowned out the dialogue. I'm not sure if that is a flaw of all the DVDs for this film or just mine since I have read that other Porn Clubbers have had difficulties of this kind as well. A number of little things annoyed me about this movie. Most of all, that there was a scratch on the DVD that caused it to skip. It didn't matter much because there is a slim chance that I will watch this film again, and it skipped during a portion of the film that I found rather boring. All in all, it was a disappointment. The trailer looked cute and funny, but it wasn't.
Follow-up commentary
Girl Talk did not leave a lasting impression upon me. It is not a film I have watched again, due to personal preferences. It was fun to watch, however, and I did find it mildly comedic. Seeing porn professionals in drag was pretty cute!

I actually kind of liked this movie. I definitely loved the cliched pizza boy thing. Thanks for the review.
