Scream by Vivid - review by RubyBlue

I grabbed a bottle of vodka, some chocolate, and my new DVD "Scream" and headed over to my neighbor's house for a long night of watching dirty movies and talking. The back cover of this video had little to say about what we could actually expect, aside from the fact that the main character breaks up with her boyfriend and then goes on a series of sexual exploits.

To be honest, the cover had me excited and I was hoping for something modern and sensual, but the DVD looked like it was fairly old school - maybe mid-90s? - and not really my style. The commercials before the film actually began were all for sex lines and foot fetish advertisements. Again, these didn't really have anything to do with the style of the film, and they were kind of distracting.

The movie opens up with a young girl getting in a huge fight with her boyfriend. She storms out and goes to a restaurant. While she's sitting at the restaurant feeling sorry for herself, she stares down at her plate and "imagines" two people having sex. We see the image of this IN her plate, so it's a little strange. Honestly, it's almost laughable!

The actual sex scenes were okay, but the plot line - big surprise - could use some work. The acting was okay though, and the main character had a nice body. If you're drinking and want to get together with some friends to enjoy a porn night together, by all means, rent or buy this one to laugh at. However, as far as actually getting me "in the mood," this one missed the mark. The special effects were pretty sad (again, old school porn). After getting almost halfway through, we ended up giving up and watching "Pirates" instead.
