Guide to Getting It On!: Sixth Edition - guides to a better sex by Goofy Foot Press - review by Spicey Mommy

This is the sex book that everyone should own and read! No other sex book covers the wide range of topics that this book does. The moment a person considers starting to have sex they should be given this book to read. I think so much of this book, in this and previous editions, that I've been recommending it for almost four years now. I would give it ten stars if I could.

We love Guide to Getting It On. We bought our first copy almost four years ago. We were having a romantic, kid free weekend and browsing through a book store. Having had two children and being married for several years we were on the lookout for a book to help us get ideas to keep the excitement in the bedroom. We found this book, one lone copy, on a shelf of a whole bookcase of books on sex. We flipped through it and thought we would give it and another book a try. We loved Guide to Getting It On and never opened the other book again after the first time we read through it. We have read through it multiple times and even have many ideas bookmarked with post-its!

Of course there is the standard ideas and tips on technique, and there are some marvelous tips and ideas, but it differs from any other book on sex that I have seen because the author includes quotes from real people who have read previous editions of his book and taken the anonymous surveys that he puts on the Goofy Foot website. Practically any topic that can be addressed is, and if it isn't then it will probably eventually be in a future edition. Everything from losing your virginity, oral sex, intercourse in various positions, homosexuality, sex during menstruation and pregnancy, bondage, and much more is in there. Additionally there are sources, either book or websites, where you can learn more about the topics. It combines information that is found in other sex books, although not all in one, with humor and information from real people that brings the feeling of a very candid conversation to the book.
