All in all, this pocket Kama Sutra would make a great addition to your bedside table, suitcase, or as a gift. I would give this book as a gift in a basket of other goodies, or to a girlfriend for a wedding shower. I would also suggest that a buyer, gift this to their lover with a love-note that says, for instance, "Every day is an adventure with you by my side. Care to try our next in a different position"?

There are other Kama Sutra books that surpass this interpretation. While this book is not the best Kama Sutra book, however, I would say that it is the best Kama Sutra book at its cost. In other words, there are better versions (more graphic, more artistic, containing more positions, etc.) but you're certainly going to pay for them. Further, I would say that this IS the best pocket-sized Kama Sutra I have seen to date. I have both the larger, original, version of this and the pocket copy.

The true-to-life pictures are exceptional. Also, the pictures do not come off trite as pictures often do in other copies of the Kama Sutra. That being said, however, it should be noted that the pictures are not graphic to the extent of "insert tab 'A' into slot 'B'." This, I'm sure, keeps the book from falling into the category of porn in your local book store.

The pocket copy is perfect for a bedside drawer or a suitcase. It comes in handy if you and your lover are feeling playful or adventurous, whichever the case may be. Don't be fooled, though! This book is not merely for once you're in the mood and looking for something new to try. I highly recommend, peacefully, laying in your lovers arms and looking through the book together. You will soon find yourself bringing print to life as you reenact positions that have proven the test of time - thousands of years in fact.

The wording is intelligent and, while I would not describe the verbiage as "simple", it is certainly understandable. Also, some may find it a plus that the book is written almost conversationally (e.g., "You may find that...") rather than instructive (e.g., "Step 1..."). I know that, for myself, I would rather read a book suggesting things rather than adding the pressure of what may or may not happen if I accidentally get carried away and skip Step 3.

Still a great covert way of keeping a handy-dandy hanky-panky guide at your fingertips to allow for some memorable experiences as old as time.
