Holy Shit! This book is addicting.

If you can overlook the juvenile writing style, Fifty Shades of Grey is truly a beautifully written love story. Despite the repetition, the sex scenes are sexy, romantic and even a little kinky. Being unfamiliar in the world of BDSM, I thought the BDSM aspect was pretty tame and there was never a point where I wanted to stop reading. I honestly wish the more conservative would look past the 'dangerous' aspect of this story and really look to seeing that this is a great story of redemption.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a fictitious story about an innocent, intelligent, yet insecure girl named Anastasia Steele (also known as Ana), who falls for a ridiculously good looking, young, self-made billionaire named Christian Grey. Weeks before graduating college, Ana is stuck having to do an interview for the college paper where she meets a very complex Christian Grey. It is then that they have an instant connection and their not so 'normal' and complicated love affair begins. Christian wants to dominate Ana and train her to be his submissive. He then proposes her with a contract that he wants her to sign and Ana soon finds herself torn between loving Christian and frightened by him at the same time. Yearning for more, Ana is determined to have more than just a BDSM relationship with Christian Grey.

Overall I thought there was pretty good character development but the plot was very slow moving and almost non-existent even. The sex scenes are very hot and probably the best written parts of the book. There is a lot of sex, so eventually the sex scenes become very repetitive.

If you're an experienced novel reader, you will probably be able to tell that this book was written by a first time author. A lot of details about the characters were very 'fairytale-ish', and there were times I would question if this book was written by a horny teenager.

I'm very unfamiliar with the world of BDSM and this was my first time reading a BDSM novel and I'm so glad I decided to read it. The characters really captivated me and despite the fact it's poorly written, the story was able to play out in my mind like a movie. I honestly loved this story and I could not stop reading it. It's erotic, steamy, naughty, sensual and at times I could not stop thinking about it. The story ended very abruptly, leaving me flustered, aggravated and very eager to read book two. It's probably not for everyone and I know it might not sound like a good love story but it really is a beautifully written love story.

This is my first time ever writing a book review. I was a little unsure about what to write without giving away too much, so any advice on what I could include would be very well appreciated

It was a nice review. Maybe getting a mentor would help? Just a suggestion.

There's lots of different ways to write book reviews. Like Eva said, when moving into new territory, it's not a bad idea to look into getting a mentor that specializes in that area (say, books, for example.) It can really broaden your review writing ability!
