I Love Female Orgasm - book discontinued by Marlowe&Company - review by oopsy

One of the reasons this book is so fantastic is because it's presented by a man and a woman, not just a woman complaining about how men don't know what they're doing, and not just a book by a man talking about the little man in the boat. They are a couple, so they know what they're talking about with each other as well.

Possibly the most fantastic aspect of this book is that they target all audiences about female orgasms. Lesbian, Transgender, queer or straight. This book has 11 chapters, each with some pictures, helpful tip boxes, diagrams and fun facts generously sprinkled around. The chapters include:

1. The Lowdown on the big O
2. Petting the Bunny: Masterbation & Female Orgasm
3. So You Want to Have An Orgasm?
4. Going Down, Down, Baby: Oral Sex and Female Orgasm
5. Doin' in, and Doin' it and Doin't in well: Intercourse and Female Orgasm
6. G Marks the Spot: THe G-Spot and Female Ejaculation
7. Vibrators, Toys, and Piercings, Oh My! (My personal favorite chapter!)
8. Let's Hear it for the Boys: Men and Female Orgasm
9. Coming with Pride: Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Straight-but-adventurous Orgasms
10. Knocking on the Back Door: Advice for the Anally Curious
11. Preventing Bugs and Babies: Safer Sex and Birth Control

Clearly they've thought of it all! It's adventurous, bold, honest, without being prude, rude, or exclusive. Obviously it focuses on achieving the Female Orgasm. But they offer advice for do it yourself as well as partner advice.

It may sound silly, but one of my favorite things about this book is that the cartoons demonstrating different positions are real people, the men are kind of gangly or fuzzy, the women are large and well as small breasted. It's a real book written by real people for real readers! They show different oral sex positions and then honestly say that if you sit on your partner's face, he might have trouble breathing, and you might in fact end up with a wet mark on your dinning room table if you have her sit on the edge. Common sense things, that most sex books seem to forget!

Adorable paperback, good 'coffee table' book, if you've got an adventurous coffee table. Colorful cover, but all the pictures inside are black and white.

This book also gives great tips for dialogue. Knowing that you want your partner to stick a finger up you while they are down there is all well and good, but asking for it if you're new to this or just shy is another thing all together! They offer helpful, and sometimes obvious thing to say to ask for things, and more importantly, ask for things to stop.

There is also a box in the Oral Sex chapter that I highly question. It says that breath strips are a fun way to spice things up, as is champagne and a few others. This is an awful idea! Do Not Put Sugar in your vag! That is what we call, a yeast infection. After my partner read this book he also tried the Listerine strip (without asking me first) and it burned like hell. Maybe you can find a way to incorporate the spirit of this, but for some things like that, ask first.

I was given this book by my college, after Marshall Miller and Dorian Solot came to speak to us, it was a fantastic lecture, and they are a completely adorable and informative couple!
