Improving Your Sex Life review

I just finished watching Dr. Berman’s “Intimacy Rx; Improving Your Sex Life.” Basically, I learned a few things. I learned that I know a lot more than Dr. Berman does, that 99% of this DVD is common sense, and that Dr. Berman didn’t spend a whole lot to make this video.

The movie features chapters with topics such as porn use by men, low libido in women, premature ejaculation, orgasm, making more quality time, masturbation, poor body image, and how to find a good therapist. To me, the concept of this video could have been construed much more simply.

To put it bluntly, men, if you want more sex, take the stress off your woman and be nice to her, don’t cheat on her, tell her she’s pretty, and don’t cum too soon. Women, masturbate as much as possible, and make him do whatever you need in order to get yourself off, and if any of the above doesn’t work out quite right, go see a therapist! Like Dr. Berman. She certainly seems to be in need of clientele. Judging by the coffee table in her office that’s propped up with a book, Dr. Berman could use the money! You know something is completely and totally boring when the topic of sex can’t even keep your mind from wandering to the furniture…

 Oh, and another thing I noticed, there was a lot of product placement in the DVD. If you look closely, you will spot a bottle of KY touch massage oil, a “Menopause for Dummies” book, and assorted name brand sex toys scattered around. To conclude, Dr. Berman seems like a very intelligent woman, with common place knowledge of how sex should work, a few product endorsement deals, and a home camcorder. I wonder if she’s worked out a deal with Sony yet.

Two stars. Unless you’re a complete idiot, you’re not going to learn much here.
