Informative

I read a lot of books, at least 2 a month, but this book took me a whole month to read. Putting aside it being a hard read, I learned a lot and am very happy I took the time to read it.

I got this book in hopes that it would be a little more on the side of teaching the positions and less education. I was disappointed at first, but the further I got into the book, the more I wanted to read it. It doesn't give a lot on positions; but it does give you a brief look into Kama Sutra, the practices, and why they do certain things and don't do others, how to act and how to respond. Reading this book has opened my eyes into the Kama Sutra as a whole and has made me realize that it isn't just about sex. It has some to do with sex, but the majority of it is cultural and religious!

If you are wondering at all about the Kama Sutra, but don't want to go spend the big bucks to decide you are not interested in what it has to teach, you should buy this book. It gives enough information for the everyday Joe to decide if it would be something they would like to learn more about it.

For $12.99 you get a beautifully satin bound book with an elastic hoop on the top cover and a piece of wood through the bottom cover elastic hoop so that the wood can latch into the top elastic and keep the book closed. No worrying about ruining the pages.

The book has 4 Chapters that have numerous sub-chapters in them making the book 286 pages. The first chapter focuses on Society and Social Concepts like the life of a citizen and the acquisition of Dharma, Artha and Kama. The second focuses on the Sexual Union, for example, how to embrace and what different ones mean. It also has kissing where and why for different occasions. The fourth chapter is about the acquisition of a wife focusing on marriage, how to court the girl and how the girl must act. The last chapter focuses on the means of attracting others to you through personal adornment and subjugating the hearts of others.

All in all a very hard read, but if you have any interest whatsoever in the practices I definitely recommend this book to you.

Thanks, I think the hardest part for me was having to look up the words. They use a lot of words based out of India!
