Love & Marriage by Digital Playground - review by Redboxbaby

My husband and I thought this movie was OK. I enjoyed Robby D's camera work and Joey Pulgadas music production even though there is not much music at all and what music there is, is repetitive throughout the movie. The acting is decent (what there is of it), but the story is lacking. Quite often throughout the film I found myself asking, "How did she get there?" or "When did they switch partners?" I found there were quite a few scenes that seemed to lack the transition that I desperately need in a story in order for me to keep interested and for me take the movie seriously. At one point, about half way through the movie, I heard snoring...it was me. I had fallen asleep. Funny thing was, when I looked at my husband, he was asleep too -- It was the middle of the day. I think that says a lot about the way we felt about this movie. We were bored. The sex is normal PIV sex. Sadly, this movie not only lacks a storyline, but there is no anal and not much kink at all.

I love the way Digital Playground packaged this movie! It was a DVD + Blu-Ray Combo PACK! Now, I won't feel bad about lending my porn and not getting it back because I have another copy. Thanks DP! All movies, porn or not, should come this way.

The Movie Summary:

Kayden is seeing a marriage counselor because she is not happy with her so-called "perfect" husband. Apparently, their marriage lacks passion. Her husband is unfaithful and she eventually finds what she is looking for with her counselor instead.

The movie begins with Kayden in her counselor's office having a typical therapy session. Side-note - Kayden and Manuel have good chemistry!

Scene 1:
Opens with a Mick Blue's birthday party, which we quickly learn is an office party. Mick barely gets the candles blown out on his cake before Scott Nails interrupts and tells him he is needed in his office ASAP.
Scott shows Mick what he got him for his b-day present, Carrie (Jessie Andrews). Carrie and Mick make out a bit on the desk and quickly strip each others clothes off; all the while Scott is watching from his chair watching. Then oddly, she leaves the birthday boy and starts sucking Scott's cock. This is where my husband laughed and said, " Damn, he isn't even a good buddy; he gets his friend a good fuck and makes him share it!" This is the scene where the transitions became hard for me to follow who was doing who. The scene continues for 15 minutes and seemed to be repetitive and go on forever.

Scott goes home to find wife, Kayden, topless and putting on make-up, getting ready for a dinner party at a friends house. The mood and dialog they share is uncomfortable and you they convey a couple with marital problems.

Scene 2:
Opens with Kayden and Scott sitting down to a meal with Tommy Gun and Lisa Ann. There is a bit of small talk and Tommy and Lisa excuse themselves to the kitchen to "get dessert." Much sucking and fucking going on in the kitchen, and it made me chuckle a bit when Lisa finally brings dessert to the table with a bit of "cream" still on her cheek. I loved seeing these two older stars in this film together. It is nice to see actors and actresses that are closer to my own age, now and again. They still got it. I love Lisa's lingerie in this scene! I am on the hunt to find it currently.

Scene 3:
Kayden and Scott are in their bedroom. She asks him why he loves her. "Nobody fucks me better than you do," he whispers. This is where the acting gets really bad because supposedly, this couple has a passionless marriage. The sex seemed full of passion to me. Kayden must love giving blow jobs, either that, or she is a fantastic actress. The sex is pretty vanilla and is pretty repetitive.

The scene transitions to Kayden in the counselor's office again, this time describing the event above, "I was completely shut-off emotionally, but don't get me wrong it was a great fuck..." Again, I felt like this was yet another contradiction in the storyline because she did not once seem emotionally disconnected in that scene to me.

Scene 4:
Opens back in the office with the receptionist and Carrie (Jessie Andrews) and Scott. He wants to "introduce" her to the new PR chick in the office, Amy (Breanne Benson). They all head to his office for a bit of girl on girl action, quickly followed by a three-way. The scene continues repetitively for 12 more minutes ending in a grand facial cum shot.

Transition again, Scott is on the toilet and Kayden asks for a divorce. She tells him that she saw the threesome he had at the office.

Scene 5:
Kayden is back at the counselor's office. She tells him she asked for a divorce and that he was cheating on her. Then tells Manuel she wants to be with him instead. He fights her off for a bit, but her womanly powers quickly prevail! The sex is pretty hot. Manuel sticks his finger in her ass while he is going down on her and again, Kayden must adore giving blow-jobs! I love to watch her give a blow-job; if you've never seen it, I suggest you search for it...very hot! He spanks her ass a lot, it ends up VERY red, but again, the sex is pretty vanilla, but at the same time very intense. The scene continues on for a long, long time (20 minutes), but ends up in a sexy facial!

Overall, while everyone in this movie was fairly hot, the action was way too slow, the scenes were too long, and there was not enough variety in the sex for my liking. I did appreciate the camera angles and that you didn't see full on penetration for the entire movie. We had trouble with the audio on both discs. We watched them on our PS3 and have no trouble using the optical audio cable normally. For some reason, we could not use the optical audio for this film. We had to revert to a normal RCA cable instead. We have no trouble with any other movies using the optical. Go figure. The audio did seem messed up in a few spots for just a second or two, like maybe someones mic was rubbing against there clothes or something. Other than that, not a terrible movie, just boring.

The trailer section of the disc was great. We found that watching the trailers got us more aroused than watching the movie did. There are several DP movies that I can't wait to see.

This is one movie we are almost afraid to offer up to our friends. We think it might be a downer, so to speak, on the sex and relationship-positive attitudes we exude. Maybe it would be better suited for those not in a relationship or those who are not offened by cheating and lying within a relationship.

I can't imagine either of us reaching to put this one in the Blu-Ray player ever again.
