Kama Sutra: The Perfect Bedside Companion is just that, the perfect bedside companion. It would look great as a coffee table book or as a decorative book in a bedroom. It would also make an excellent gift for a bride, couple, or any other adult. This is a classic version of the book, and contains all the original allure of the Kama Sutra. The book has a closure piece, which is a small piece of material, and a wooden bead for it to loop over. It makes the book very beautiful, and really makes it look like a nice piece of art.

This book was translated in India by Sir Richard F. Burton, 2000 years ago. This version is in hardcover and has a great cover with beautiful colors. It has 290 pages and is 6 1/4 inch tall and 6 1/4 inch wide. It also contains original drawings, which offer insight into how to accomplish the positions. Mostly, these pictures add to the aesthetic value of the book. They are all pictures of men and women together, and are drawn and painted.

While the book is very aesthetic pleasing and offers lots of great advice, some of it is not for everyone. Occasionally it mentions things we would consider BDSM. It mentions these things in very nice tone though, and the entire book is about the binding of people through sex: How to get into pleasing positions, how to perform professional foreplay, and how to set the mood.

While this book only contains pictures of man on woman couples, any of these ideas, practices, or positions could be used by anyone, including LGBT couples as well. This book is more about the idea of how to have sex. How to get the person that is having sex with you to get on your level of satisfaction as well. It seems to be written from a man's perspective, but it also seems it may just be due to the male translator. All the ideas are easily applied to modern day, and is a must read for anyone wanting to read about sex!

Still a great book. Not read by us anymore, but its a great conversation starter when we leave it on the coffee table. Always gets a naughty conversation going! Still looks really nice, and the book holds up well. No accidental rips due to thin pages, and the clasp has held up very well. Really a great aesthetic purpose purchase, or a beautiful gift item.
