This toy was definitely designed
First impressions are everything. When you look at this book, it brings to mind sensuality, and seduction. Wrapped in a pink satin, with silk screened images of flowers and with a wooden bead closure, it truly is a beautiful book, and that's merely looking at it.
"Kama Sutra: The Perfect Bedside Companion" is a delightful little travel book. My partner and I took it with us last summer to the lake, and sat on the beach reading excerpts to one another, and the anticipation had us both eager to call it a day and retire to the cabin. We looked forward to trying the different chapters (On biting, on kissing, on scratching, on embracing... ect). Once we read the chapters it was our goal to try and master all the techniques from each section before moving on. It became a game that was more than pleasurable for both of us.
However it wasn't only fun and games. It was inspirational, and educational at the same time. It allowed to you learn more about the intimate details of foreplay and intercourse, while still understanding how through each aspect you were reaching a more spiritual level. It spoke a lot on the spirituality of sexuality, and how knowing your lover, and being a good lover is one of the keys to become successful at everything you choose to do. It challenges both partners to be attentive to their lover, to learn about the things their partner finds pleasurable, and how to maximize these reactions.
The only thing I was slightly disappointed by was the lack of pictures. The artwork is beautiful, and erotic, but not overly descriptive, although the language more than makes up for the lack of pictures. If your willing to read it you'll learn volumes, if your more a picture book person, I wouldn't suggest this particular version.
I read the Anne Hooper 'Pocket Kama Sutra' and that seemed to be the opposite - lots of lovely pictures, but not much depth about Kama Sutra or the spiritual side of things. I might give this a look!
This really looks like a lovely book, and seems priced quite well for what you get. I know you were disappointed by the lack of pictures, but it's refreshing to see a book with "Kama Sutra" in the title that actually discusses sexual pleasures and techniques instead of being just another sex position manual.
