Lesbian sex 101 - book discontinued by Hylas Publishing - review by Saidibhie

I bought this little book for my girlfriend for Christmas, and it was definitely worth the money! We don't use it as our Holy Bible of How to Have Good (Lesbian) Sex, but we've definitely flipped through it a few times for inspiration. We also have fun going through the checklist in the back of the book, crossing off the new positions!

The photographs were lovely to look at - the entire book came across as erotically informative, rather than trashy and crass. You'll get a lot of great new ideas for things to do with your bodies and your toys - we got a lot of ideas for strap-on play especially.

Some of the positions just seemed kind of ridiculous. I personally don't want to have to contort and twist my body around for 45 minutes before I can get down to actually having sex. I guess you'll get more out of these few positions if you are more advanced/flexible than I am. For the most part, the positions were very accessible - simple positions are explained alongside the more advanced. So don't be scared off by the advanced strap-on play!

This book focuses primarily on toyless sex, strap-ons excluded. It would've been nice to have seen more positions that got creative with vibrators, restraints, etc, but I guess that's what your imagination is for. It also focuses on sex between two women, so if you're playing with more than one other person, you'll have to get more creative.

Limitations aside, this was a fun little book to flip through and get new ideas from. It's an excellent conversation starter. For less than $20, it'll look great on your coffee table or on a prominent bookshelf!

My final word on the subject:
Should this little book be your be-all, end-all guide to lesbian sex? Probably not. There's a whole wide world of wonderful ways in which you can have sex with ladies. But is it a fun way to introduce new ideas? Absolutely.
