More Pornography than Instructional

While this DVD is a good purchase if you are looking for inspiration for your own erotic dance, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this if you are looking for something to teach you how to dance erotically. It focuses too much on the sex aspects and virtually non-existently on the lesson aspects.

Pros
Good for inspiration. Moves shown are good but will require lots of rewinding
Cons
Lessons were minimal, more focused on sex than teaching, camera switches way too much

extremely useful review
I was extremely disappointed with this movie. The cover made the DVD looked absolutely amazing, so I was expecting it to show the same type of quality that the cover showed. Bad expectation.

Let me start by saying that the copy I received didn't have the music CD, but from the other reviews the music CD has received on EF; it seems to be a pretty darn good CD, and from what I heard of the music during the movie, it seems seriously easy to dance to. So good music.

However, the other half of this DVD set is the actual movie itself. Half of the movie is spent in a dance studio while the other half is spent seeing the women apply their "new skills" while their men watch. The premise itself honestly doesn't sound bad, and I would have enjoyed watching something that was described like that if it was done in a nice fashion. However, I was just disappointed by how it was done.

If you look into the scene selection, you can see the "split" of what was given between the two different portions. The "lesson" portion only gets 4 scene selections to itself while the "acting it out" portion gets six different scenes you can select. In a DVD that's supposed to teach me how to dance for my lover, this is seriously, seriously off-balanced.

So I bet you guys are excited to know about what exactly it taught. Well, it was divided into four sections. The first, amazingly, you know, is a section on *stretching*. Yes, you can learn stretching while it teaches you extremely serious things like how to roll your ankle in circles to stretch your ankle, how to roll your wrists to stretch your wrists, and how to roll your shoulders to stretch your shoulders. That's the gist of the stretching section. Of course, the lead "teacher" does all of her exercises in five inch stripper heels as well.

After that, we go into a section about "The Catwalk". This section is all about watching the leader (in a top where she's not wearing a bra. Normally I won't notice, but this was really obvious since she had no support.), walk back and forth. Then the other girls follow. That's it.

Lesson Three is all about the floor work. You watch the leader lay on her back, spread her legs open, do some other sexy things, then stretch forward in a cat-post. The girls on the screen repeat it. The end.

Lesson four is all about props. The girls use things like feather boas and strings of pearls. However, there is no lesson in this. The leader just says "Be sexy" and the girls all just randomly start doing sexy things with their props like wrapping them around themselves while the leader compliments. The camera in this section is ridiculously jumping from one person to the next, so I honestly doubt you can learn much. I didn't.

So what did I think of the lessons? Not much honestly. For a DVD that's supposed to teach me how to do erotic dancing, this could have been done so much better. In case you were wondering, out of this fifty minute video, only ten minutes was devoted to the lessons. I went back and looked. It was just downright depressing when I was expecting something that would teach me to be sexier.

The lessons could have been executed so much better. The music they chose to you was great, but the teacher would just show a bunch of moves in succession without any explanation then all of the girls would repeat the moves pretty decently. Then we'd be on to the next lesson. There's no way that this would be enough time for any beginner (or even advanced) dancer to keep up with what's going on. It will require a lot of backtracking and replaying to learn the moves shown on this disk. What is shown is sexy, but it just wasn't done right. And really, only two out of the four lessons really taught me much of anything - and it didn't teach it well.
Experience
So what about the remaining 40 minutes of the video? We get to watch four out of the six girls take these moves back to their boyfriends. (Who all look alike. It's odd.) The girls do some show-off in the studio (with the camera acting like it’s on some type of drug - it jumps around so fast I honestly cannot observe her moves). Then the girls go to a different location (meant to look off-site from the studio) and show their boyfriends the moves they've learned. The camera has settled down a bit, but honestly, it still moves around too much for me to really learn much of *anything* from what the girls are dancing. It was sad. I mean, I at least wanted to learn something from it put in action, but the camera made it impossible.

From there, after about five minutes of dancing and stripping, the music just plain stops and changes into something less sexy and more "rough". Then the nude couple proceeds to give each other oral and have sex for about six or seven minutes until we move onto the next girl showing her boyfriend what we learned. When you consider that the entire lesson portion was only ten minutes long, I was extremely disappointed when the sex took that long - even that there was sex at all.

Finally statement? I'm saddened. This DVD has the high-quality moves, great girls, great camera and light, and great productions that could have made this one of the most helpful erotic dancing DVDs I've seen. But in their attempt to be too sexy, they've really made the DVD useless as an erotic dance teaching DVD. You could possibly get inspiration for your own erotic dancing from this, but it leans much more towards pornography than an instructional DVD.
Follow-up commentary
Can't say that we've watched it since we first watched it for the review. There really is nothing in this that we found useful at all - if we wanted to watch porn, we'd watch porn. If I wanted to learn erotic dancing, I'd watch a different DVD. So yeah, while it is a decent combination of the two, it also doesn't perform either function amazingly well.

This would be something I'd be interested in since I have 14 years of professional dance training (traditional I mean lol). But I am glad you got to review it before I saw it! I wouldn't appreciate the porn in it if I was looking for instruction either. Sad face

Aww.... you should have seen my face brighten up at the sight of this cover, and then look all sad to read the first part of the review. I would not like the sex either. Thanks for the review.
