My Fifty

If you want to know what all the fuss is about, pick yourself up a copy! I had to find out what all my friends were talking about; all of them were saying how hot and great this read was. I had to know, and I am happy I did. This is my twilight! I hear this book may be made into a movie, and I will be first in line. Team Grey all the way!

About author

The Fifty Shades trilogy is the first novel E.L. James has written. She put her writing skills on hold for years for her family and career. She worked as a TV executive and is a mother of two. She lives in London and has always dreamed of writing a story that everyone would fall in love with. And at that, I do believe she did a wonderful job! It's only on the New York Times best-selling list!

Fifty Shades of Grey is the first book of three by E.L. James. It's such a great read that you will not be able to put the book down. It has 530 pages, but if you are like me, you will have this book read in just a couple days! It was such a easy read! As soon as I started, I was sucked into Anastasia Steele's world. The intro gets you started on how Ana is in her everyday life before her fifty shades. She is a typical, early-twenties girl in college and is still a virgin. She is not really looking for a Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now. It tells about her best friend/roommate Kate, and her guy friend Jose, who wishes it was more. Then, you're introduced to Christian Grey; he is the CEO of his own company. E.L. James describes how breathtaking Grey is and how he has this power over people. The story all begins when Anastasia Steele literally falls into his office. Wouldn't it be nice to stumble upon a hot, steamy, single CEO?!

This book explores the world of BDSM, which is something totally new to me. I never really looked into it before reading Fifty Shades of Grey, and I have to say some things seem sorta HOT! I have to agree with Ana, I like kinky fuckery play, as well, but I don't think I could ever do the hard stuff...let someone hit me with a belt, and they better run afterwards! E.L. James goes into showing you how to be a submissive and a dominant, as well as letting you know a little into Mr. Grey's unloved beginning - until he became indulged with Ana.

Personal comments

I love how this books just paints a picture into your head, and how excited it can get you when reading its words! The way she describes Christian's eyes blazing with fire and the burning love in his touch will send tingles down your own spine! You find yourself hanging on to every word. I really hate to admit it, but some scenes in the book even made me hot, which has never happened before, so I was itching with my own two twitching palms to read the other two books.

This book is by far one of the best books I have read - I could never put it down! If anyone just needs a great read, I strongly suggest the Fifty Shades trilogy. E.L. James did a great job on her first novel! Never have I ever been so excited over a book!

Experience

I have to say this was one of the best book ever! I was sucked into the story and felt like I was Ana! Oh how I kind of wished I was! My husband was thankful since there was once I had to go wake him up after a lomg night of reading! Never has a book made me hot! But it's so well detail you can't help not to get hot and bothered!

It's interesting to read a review on this from the POV of someone who doesn't have experience in BDSM. I'm a sub, and personally hated the book. Thanks for the review though.
