OK, I try hard to find the positive in everything that I do. This includes people and products that I review. There are three very good things to say about this movie- and only three from my perspective. It’s very typical porn with a lot of close-up shots. Every male actor wears a condom. My husband and I had a hell of a good time making fun of it.

There is a lot of porn that has always been a turn-off for me. This movie was from “Playgirl” so for some reason I had higher expectations that it might be meant to please the female audience. It’s not. The advertisement said, “everyone has secret desires|Playgirl: Secret Lovers.” It really is all the aspects of porn that I always disliked- no plot or hint of one for fantasy scenes, a lot of incredibly detailed close ups, and fucking scenes in multiple positions that go on and on.

My husband and I approached the movie with open minds and willing bodies. The first fantasy scene was Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett from Gone with the Wind. I started to have some trouble when I noticed that Scarlett had her pussy shaved in a Brazilian and she was wearing stiletto heels --totally out of the times. Then we had a debate about if Scarlett had a tramp stamp tattoo (she did).

There are several scenes in this movie besides Scarlett: workman, handyman, married couple in the park, pool boy, serving boy, etc. The actors and actresses are quite fit and attractive. However creativity is sadly lacking. I started wondering if this movie was a composite of a TV series on the Playgirl channel. Each scene follows a formula. The woman narrates for approximately 15 seconds. Sexual activity commences. She gets oral sex- with a lovely close up and much moaning or screaming. She gives him a blow job for much longer. Fucking in multiple positions and close ups commence. He pulls out and we get a cum shot on the woman’s body (even married couple). Not face- I know some people are wondering.

Most of the scenes are also predictable. For the workman- we guessed that he would fuck her with his tool belt on. He did. I joked, “Someone needs to fuck her in the ass.” Nope.

I’d say the movie falls into sweet, sugar vanilla romantic sex, but it’s so damn predictable with nothing more than a focus on the pure visual that I don’t know what audience it is supposed to reach. Neither my husband nor I liked it. He said, “The best thing interesting about this movie is that you get to review it.” If you are still interested in the movie for the visual, save some grief and watch it without sound. That might be an improvement- even if you miss the moans and screams!

I tried. I tried to get interested in this movie a second time. It was not to be. I really appreciated the attempt at &quot;scenes,&quot; but anything where the sex itself was so completely scripted does not to me fit the category of &quot;made for women.&quot; I like the <strong>Playboy movies</strong> much more. It wasn't even sex that actually turns me on as a woman. C'mon, most women want to see hot male bodies (given) some romance (30 seconds max) and real sex that includes the woman's pleasure. The woman having pleasure is certainly up for debate in this movie, but I didn't get the sense that the man's goal was to pleasure her. Nor did you see the really intense orgasms of the woman. What I remember the most was cum shots. In every scene. OK. That can be hot some of the time- but 100% of the time?
