Please Sir, write me another story

Please Sir is a diverse collection of erotic tales that while holding some hot stories, may leave readers lukewarm and in need of more lurid details.
Published:
Pros
Little bit of diversity in characters, some great gems.
Cons
Forgettable stories, the order could have been arranged better, cover art is hotter than book.

extremely useful review
Please Sir was overall lukewarm, but with some gems stuck inside the pages. The cover art however is beautiful and the model's eyes are hypnotic. The stories are fairly short which keeps the book giving you new outlooks on female submission. I found some stories that I adored, but others faded into the background and were hard to remember once I got toward the end of the book.

I will discuss my favorites first. The first story to really entertain me was Knot Here by Yolanda West which had a nice exhibitionist quality to it and was short but fun in its description of domination at a truckstop diner.

The Negotiation by Remittance Girl involves a steamy corporate takeover with vivid details and excellent dialogue. This was a tale I could easily visualize and the corporate aspect was terribly erotic, nylons and stilettos.

No Good Deed by Alison Tyler was a fun tale of a brat with a little enjoyable twist at the end.

Masochist on Vacation by Aimee Pearl stuck out to me with its use of a transgender femme service submissive that was not exploited or fetishized for the genderfluid nature, but just an aspect of their character. I enjoyed this added diversity in the collection of stories.

Lil'Pet Brat, AKA Lily Guangli by Kissa Starling reminds me of many young brats I've met at kink events. Cute to the point of almost irritation (ultra-bratty subs annoy me). The story itself lends to a cute, fun read where there is exploration of the desire for submissives to be bratty.

My overall favorite of the book was Pleasure Keeper by Charlotte Stein. This story of anticipation and teasing was the one story that actually got me excited. Pleasure Keeper revolves around a woman's exploration of a friend's brother who lives in the basement and holds an air of mystery. The male in this story is portrayed as a computer geek (I love geeks) who turns out to hold a heavy power over the seduction of our main character. Definitely a hot read with vivid descriptions.

The only story I would say I personally disliked was Mommy's Boy by Doug Harrison. The dialogue in this story seemed stilted and needed some descriptive excerpts in between. Most of my dislike stems from the derogatory comments made from a male to a female when the tables are turned from a Dominatrix to a submissive. Some enjoy humiliation and degradation of this nature, but my personal preference is against the use of terms like "cocksucking bitch". This story also involves the drinking of urine, which personally is a huge turn off to me, but may titillate others.

The only positive point I have to say about Mommy's Boy was that it did reference safer sex practices like the use of latex gloves and condoms.

While I may reread stories such as Pleasure Keeper and The Negotiation to get myself fired up, the majority of the stories leave me lukewarm.

How many stories total were in this collection? I ask because with my last book that I received from this publisher, it was also a collection with mostly "meh" stories with a few really good ones sprinkled in. Great review!

There are about 22 stories in the book, so the ratio personally was slim that I enjoyed. "Meh" is a good descriptive for the majority of the stories. I had higher hopes for the book especially because I've been exploring my submissive side recently.

I recently bought this book, I have only read the first few stories but I am actually really liking it so far. Though, I can understand where you are coming from with the degregation - I'm not into that as much but for some people it is a part of their BDSM practices so I can see why it would be included in the book. Thank you for the review!

Hmmmm..the book sounds like it might be a bore. Might still try it though eventually. Nice review.

Interesting review, thanks for the heads up on "Mommy's Boy" - sounds like a definite "skip" for me. I'm hoping I like the book a little better since it's one of the June '11 selections for the Naked Reader Book Club Discussion.

Thanks for the review, and for the warning on "Mommy's Boy". Definitely will have to skip that one, but the rest of it sounds interesting.
