Porn For Women, A Heterosexual Couples' Book

Though we're not impressed by the content, the idea of the book was good. After all, I think every erotic book or video shouldn't just be based on a man's interest in what it is. If you know what I mean there.

About author

The author, Susan Anderson, who also took the photographs in the book, adds a little humor in the beginning and end sections of the book, and if she's the one who wrote the captions for the "talking" bubbles for the men pictured, then she added a little humor there too.

I hadn't read anything of Susan's before that I know of, but her work in this book seems to be simple yet interesting, though there isn't much to this book.

The only real information about Miss Susan Anderson is that she "is a Los Angeles-based photographer who believes that the future of porn shouldn't be in the hands of men alone." My girl and I both liked this a lot. We try to look for erotic things, and we don't support the way that a lot of porn is produced now-I could tell you stories.

Content / Style / Audience

The content of the book is basically just photographs of "hot men," and there are four men featured in the book, again and again. Adrian Madlener, Joe Tyson, Rich Fonseca, and Michael Hernandez are the men pictured in the book.

They say things like, "As long as I have two feet to walk on, you'll never have to take out the garbage," and "Wanna snuggle?" My girlfriend liked a few of the things in the talk bubbles, and those are a couple.

I think the writing style is a simple one. Most of the effort put into this book seems to have been put into taking the photography, because the spine fell apart when I opened the book, (only from the inside, so it's not a big problem), and there isn't much in writing here in the book.

The book seems to be geared toward heterosexual couples. Some reviews I've read weren't impressed by the book because it wasn't actual porn or erotica, and some thought it was a joke book. In my opinion, there are controversial ideas about the book, but I think one can take it however they want it. I didn't think it was bad myself, but wasn't particularly impressed. It was just something for her, because we don't like a lot of "pornographic" things these days. After all, there isn't a lot to choose from (for us) these days...We can't seem to find anything we're interested in. I don't think this fits what we wanted either, but the idea of it was good at least.

The quiz in the back was also interesting. I got a high grade (thumbs up!) which was good. Here's how the quiz works. There are 10 questions, and a lot of the answers are taken from the content in the book. It's like one of those Cosmopolitan quizzes, if you've read those or know anyone who does, and the quiz is called "Pornometer: How Much Are You Getting?"

Now this just seems silly. Disappointing considering what a great idea the book seemed based in.
