Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way review

Let’s be honest; there aren’t that many types of sex paraphernalia that you can purchase for friends and family without offending them. The book, Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way, is one of the few books I’ve seen that is suitable to give to just about anyone! The book began when Em and Lo, two of the sex and relationship experts at nerve.com, began putting up the “position of the day” and giving that position hilarious names. What surprised them was that their readers began trying these positions, even the ones that looked seemingly impossible! It resulted in giving their readers a little giggle over the names, and a lot of fun in the bedroom.

This book has 366 positions (one for every day of the year and an extra just for fun). Many of the positions are truly not possible, but a lot of them can be really fun to attempt! The figures in the book are simply drawn, non-graphic characters. They’re a few steps up from stick figures but are not graphic enough to be truly offensive. My husband and I happily took the book separately and wrote down the dates that we wanted to try with each other. Later that evening we started going through the book, often laughing at the positions that the other one thought was possible.

Some of my husband’s favorites are the Bricklayer, the Butter Cup, and the Custom’s Officer. Some of my favorites are the Craftmatic, the Hotseat, and Taking the Fall. Taking the Fall is the perfect position for a woman to be able to play with herself with her fingers or with a vibrator, while giving the man perfect access to all of the fun parts. That is definitely one of my new favorite positions.

My husband was turned off when he turned some of the pages and saw pictures of two men, but seemed intrigued when he would turn another page and find two women or a group of people. Some of the positions require props, such as a rocking chair or a stool, and getting a sex swing would be a big help to trying some of those seemingly impossible positions.

Overall this is a great gift to get a close friend, spouse, or lover. The names that go with the pictures will have you laughing for hours, and the pictures themselves will have you wondering what is possible and what isn’t!
