Probably one of the best sex help books you'll ever read.

This book is highly worth it, and pretty much a must have as a sex education resource for women. I have actually recommended it to quite a few of my friends who were having issues when it came to getting their girls off.

About author

I haven't had any prior experience with this author's work, however, her writing style is anything but dull. She kept it informative, and yet relatively light. It was never in a condescending tone and was extremely helpful.

This isn't even Felice Newman's first book, and she spent a long time working on it. She sent surveys out and gained responses from more than 250 people from around the globe on their experiences. Felice also worked with Susie Bright, author of On Our Backs, and was an editor for Cleis Press. As a lesbian, she shares her experiences, as well as the experiences of others on the realm of sex. She has edited the books of both Susie Bright, and the notorious Annie Sprinkle.

She is also trained and has served as a hotline volunteer with San Francisco Sex Information in which she went through a 55-hour seminar in human sexuality.

So this book is essentially a guide from San Fransico to your knowledge-thirsting hands.

Content / Style / Audience

This is a book that would be useful for any queer, lesbian, dyke, bisexual, or even straight girl out there.

It goes down on fetishes, lesbian porn, desires, how to make your dreams come true, anatomy, sexual response, orgasms (including ejaculation), relationships (with yourself and others), masturbation (with or without a partner), communication and finding sex partners, sex and partnership, breast play, clitoral play, oral sex, anal sex, vaginal penetration, gender, how to negotiate a scene, play parties, lube, safer sex, and STIs.

Pretty much the entire run down. However, for the BDSM section, it's mainly just an introduction. It doesn't dive too far into detail, that would require a whole book in itself to fully go over ONE topic regarding BDSM. It does, however, go over the hanky code, clamps, piercing play, paddling, caning, flogging, spanking, bondage, safe words, whipping, sensory deprivation, consent, negotiation, and many of the other basic terminology revolving around BDSM. It also explains the difference between S/M and abuse (which is a very good thing to understand!).

The book also gives a list of twelve reasons why you should go to a sex party, and how to have fun when you get there. It also gives you tips on how to find one and play party etiquette (you do NOT want to mess that part up).

The book also gives out other references and links that would be helpful for you.

This also includes a section on sex and disability: Toy Accessibility, which would be very helpful to know.

The book also explains ways to have safe sex without the use of latex, since so many people have an allergy to it. Felice also goes over how to properly take care of your toys, and how to clean them.

There are also 20 pages worth of resources in fine print that will help just about everyone navigate their way through just about any obstacle.

The book's layout is superb! It's easy to follow, and it includes essentially everything that you need to know. The quality of the binding was of a great and included little blurbs from the survey respondents.
