Put the kiddies to bed, this book isn't for them.

The tales in this collection take on a whole other meaning to bedtime reading. They are amusing and don't take themselves to seriously which makes this perfect for light reading. I recommend this book for anyone looking to find out what became of childhood tales when our minds were innocent and pure.

About author

This intriguing erotic collection of fairy tales was written by many different authors such as Echo Thomas, Sage Vivant, Cherie McIntosh and was edited by Alison Tyler. I have never read anything of this nature and was very impressed with all the authors contributions. Each having a different writing style made for an interesting read.

Content / Style / Audience

These erotic short stories are a play on your traditional fairy tales such as Humpty-Dumpty, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel & Gretel and Cinderella. The authors also include their lustful takes on more elusive tales like Rapunzel, Ugly Ducking and Ali Baba and the Magic Lantern.

The stories clearly aren't your average children's tales and are replaced with sexy lesbians, monogamous couples, virgins, shy bookworms, gay men, cheating and dominance by both men and women. Some are fueled by revenge or lust, others by wishful thinking. I loved how some of the authors laid down the outline of the tale but didn't give an outright ending as if they were simply meant to tease the reader into creating their own special ending.

These erotic tales have something for every genre, sexy and sensual, classy and meaningful, funny and straight up dirty and rough which I myself am a fan of. Although there are no illustrations for the stories, I feel as though this lets the reader imagine their own scenario which takes on a more personal touch. Naughty Fairy Tales from A to Z would be a perfect addition to forplay for some couples; a extra touch that could be used to stimulate the mind as well as your body.

Design

Classic paperback, this book includes twenty-six tales and also a mini tale. I really like the cover which is the only illustration of the entire book. Most of the stories are only a few pages but some are longer if your in the mood for a more detailed read, they also include a list explaining which stories are based on which fairy tales, which made it easy to find a few favorites. This book also has a section in the back that gives a small background of all the authors.

Personal comments

My favorite would have to be "The Trials of Lady Vicarious" as this was more of the raunchier stories, but it's also funny and doesn't take itself to seriously. This book is a must read for anyone that likes to read erotic stories that aren't all straight smut.

Experience

Being that this book was the first of it's kind for me and my husband, we really were surprised that it wasn't filled with dirty, detailed plots. The stories that were more risque were engaging and well written. We really enjoyed it and I can't wait to read more of it's kind.
Follow-up commentary
I find myself reading this book over and over, it's a great and sexy read. I recommend it to couples looking to introduce exotic reading into their foreplay. It's a perfect mood enhancer.
