Dita Stripteese is one of the sexiest coffee table books I have ever seen. If you are a fan of the burlesque world, a burlesque dancer yourself or just a fan of Dita Von Teese, this is the book for you.Published: April 11, 2011

For me, burlesque is far sexier than stripping. And no, I am not talking about that film that came out last year. Don't waste your money on seeing that film, go and support the real burlesque girls and boys when they come to your town. You can see modern and classic style. You can even find girls that will do the style that dates back to the kind that was going on in the early 1880s in France where it all started.
For most people Dita Von Teese is who defines burlesque in the modern day. Mostly because most people haven't found the women that inspired her such as Gypsy Rose Lee, Louise Fuller and Josephine Baker. If you haven't seen the work for these amazing ladies, look them up. These are the women that got me into the art and they are the women that inspire the way that I dance and perform.
But Dita has brought the true art of burlesque to the mainstream and has let the world see the reality of this classic art form and has helped breath new life into it as well. So it's really not much of surprise that she has a number of books about about her work.
Dita Stripteese has to been one of the most classy and sexy coffee table books out there. It shows the ever lovely Dita in a few of her more famous dance routines, from the bird cage to the martini glass to her version of the classic fan dance. The book is actually three little flip books. There is no text in the books at all. The photos are taken by some wonderful photographers and they are truly beautiful to look at individually or though flipping the pages of the books.
If you are fan of Dita Von Teese or a fan of burlesque, it would be well worth picking of up the coffee table book Dita Stripteese.

I don't know if my taste in vintage sexy is ever going to change. I always had a thing for burlesque girls, that could be why I do a little bit of it on the side. But I have a feeling that I will be drooling over Dita Stripteese for a while.

Thanks for all the information about burlesque! I am still a bit curious about the book(s)- what size are they? Do they work as flip-books, or are they to be turned page-by-page?
they are small, maybe 3" by 2" by about half an inch
and making them work is by letting your thumb control the speed of the pages and you can turn them page by page.
This is on my wishlist. It is out of stock. I am glad to see you liked it.
