Spicing It Up At Home review

I must admit, I was a little apprehensive of what I was about to see when I plugged this DVD in. I thought I might have agreed to watch a porno movie packaged in a self help cover. Sort of one of those ‘insert this here and twirl’ with graphic depictions of each move. Although I realize those movies have their place, that is not what I really wanted to see in a self help video done by a Dr. I was so pleased to find that it was just what it said it was.

Dr. Laura guides you through an easy to understand DVD on spicing up your relationship. No huge clinical words that no one would understand. No baby talk down at adults that makes you feel as if you have wasted your money. Some areas are just basic information, but needful reminders as well, while others are things I would have never dreamed of.

There is one section called Novel Grooming ideas. I am not sure if I will ever do that. But it was something I had not thought of. And something I am at least now thinking about. And so is my husband!!!

I also enjoyed the fact that she explained to us women why it is that sex while on vacation seems to be more exciting sometimes than it does at home when we are doing the same thing. It was called the dopamine chemical in the brain that says this is exciting and adventurous.

There are several sections like the Fantasy Box, G-spot, and the Domination portion that helped us talk as a couple about some things we had both thought about for several years, but never discussed. Sometimes it’s hard to just bring up things. This video offered us a relaxed setting where we could at least talk about them.

There is nothing earth-shattering in this video. But it made us talk, experiment and play like we had not in several years. And that alone can rock your world.
