The End of Fifty Shades

Fifty Shades Freed is the third and final book in the Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L James. It continues to explore the relationship between Chrisitan and Ana and overall is a good read that ties up the series pretty well. If you read the other two and want to know how it ends, I suggest getting this one. However, if you know that the writing style and Ana's inner goddess are going to drive you crazy, then maybe you should pass on this.

somewhat useful review
So I actually went through with it and read the entire Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L James. The last book in the series is Fifty Shades Freed. It continues on with Christian and Ana’s relationship and opens up with their honeymoon and kind of flashes back and forth between the honeymoon and the wedding. For some reason I was in the mood to hear more about the wedding, so I wish it got more attention.

There is some added “thrill” to this book because of the back story that involves someone trying to harm the Grey family and/or Christian that goes on while Ana and Christian are working on various things in their relationship. If you pay attention in the second book, then you MIGHT have some idea about who is behind some of the chaos, but there is more to it than first appears.

Anyway, there is plenty of sex in this book, just like the other two. It is pretty much similar to the other sex, however (hope this isn’t considered a spoiler) Christian finally uses the anal plug on Ana! I really do wish that this happened earlier in the serious because maybe then this would have opened the door to more kinky stuff in the third book, but there is nothing I can really do about this. I also know that because this is erotic romance and not just erotica that the audience is different and therefore it's not going to be like a BDSM novel.

For those of you who want to know more about Christian, you will finally get more information on him including where he came from and his relationship with “Mrs. Robinson” as Ana calls her. This was something that most people, including myself, were curious about due to all of the myseteries and evasion on Christian's part. I felt satisfied by finding out more about him.

There are some other events that are important in the storyline of the book and the series, however I do not want to give anything away or ruin the reading experience for those who want to read this one.
Experience
Overall, I feel like this book was better than the first one but not as good as the second. I did reviews on the other two as well and at first glance they are all 3 stars, however the first one was more like 2.5, the second 3.5 and this one a solid 3. I blame it on the fact that Ana seemed like she acted like her young and more annoying self (which was more present in the first book) and there were more references to her “inner goddess” who apparently takes breaks from reading books to give her looks or comments on her actions.

The inner goddess was pretty obnoxious, I agree. Thanks for the review.

"Ties up the series." I don't know if that was an intentional pun, but it made me laugh. Thanks!

I was so disappointed in these books after all the hype that went into them. I enjoyed the Maya Banks series much better. Better writing and story lines in my opinion.
