This toy was definitely designed
I enjoyed "
The Pleasure's All Mine" as a good book about the professional of being a paid submissive. I have always been interested in all aspects of the sex industry. While being a professional submissive is not your traditional sex work, it tends to be lumped in with different sexual professions.
"The Pleasure's All Mine" goes through one woman's journey into the world of professional submission past being the submissive of one normal partner. It begins from one woman's search into the dominant/submissive dynamic to actually being well versed in the art of being a submissive to more than one person.
I found the book to be an easy read, but kept my interest all the way to the end. Joan Kelly does a good job of making the book feel like a conversation. Telling her story without being detached.
This book is not a graphic novel though; she does not go in depth about sexual aspects involved in being a professional submissive. If you are looking for something a little more saucy, you are better to go with a fictional novel. "The Pleasure's All Mine" is simply a memoir of Joan Kelly's submissive awakening.
This book is also not a "how-to" for submissives in a D/s relationship. It focuses more on being a professional submissive to many people instead of an emotional relationship with one Dominant figure. There are better guides for delving into D/s relationships and the more emotional relationship between a Master and slave.
It is however still an interesting read for those who enjoy a D/s relationship and wish to know more about the submissive side, or the exchange between professional Dominants and submissives. I enjoyed some of the more comical interactions between Joan Kelly and her coworkers and clients; it certainly keeps a light side to the book.
I read this last summer, and really loved it. Glad you enjoyed it too!
I've considered ordering this book so many times out of curiosity, so thanks for a thorough review. I'm glad to hear it's not written as "erotica" but as an account of her real experiences.
