The Sexiest Picture Book Around!

Book by Em & Lo

Published: September 25, 2008
useful review
If you're looking for something sexy to read to get you off while expanding your sexual horizons, this is the one for you. Great to read by yourself or with your significant other thanks to full color, super-sexy pictures on almost every page, and introductions and tips for just about every sexual practice there is. It's educational enough to broaden your sexual knowledge and horizons, but fun enough to read with your partner to add a little steam to your evening.
Pros:
Incredibly informative while being entertaining and sexy. Wonderful photographs.
Cons:
Doesn't cover GLBTQIA issues, or other alternative lifestyles.

This toy was definitely designed
Writers Em & Lo have pooled their knowledge together to create a book chock full of sexy pictures and all the carnal tips and naughty details you could possibly want.

I can't say they really do tell you "how to do everything", but the book does manage to give a great introduction to just about everything in the sexual realm.

Sex is introduced as a book written to broaden your sexual horizons. And while gay and lesbian sex, as well as many alternative sexual lifestyles, aren't really brought up (excluding a well-written and photographed section on BDSM for everyday couples), Em & Lo do a great job at bringing up just about every topic under the sheets.

Starting with Seduction (the art of setting the mood, teasing your way to the bedroom, and relaxing your body and mind), moving on to Anatomy, Oral Sex, and Intercourse, and ending with Fantasy and Sexual Health, is a great guidebook for just about anyone. The last section does a great job at explaining the many STIs--no pictures there though, I promise--and encouraging sexual hygiene.

Their writing is up-front, conversational, as well as easy and fun to read. It's divided into simple chapters that are easy to flip around in for basic ideas, but also give you enough that it could take weeks to leisurely read through.

I love the way they work towards reinventing our ideas and prejudices about things like foreplay, anal sex, sex toys, masturbation, and hygiene. Their chapter on fantasies is well done, and covers a wide variety of issues, including both the perks and dangers of BDSM play.

The chapter on Intercourse covers lots of different ways to go "Beyond the Old In-Out", including a huge collection of sex positions, along with descriptions (and of course pictures).

I really enjoyed reading this book, and am very glad to have it in my collection. Oh, and did I mention the photographs are awesome?
