The Ultimate Guide to OOoooOOOOOHHHhhhh!

This is a fabulous guide that will lead you through the anatomy of male genitalia to the advanced techniques of deep-throating with open, honest, frank language without a bunch of insulting or flowery euphemism. A must have for any couple whether they are looking to try fellatio for the first time or build on pleasant experiences (or not so pleasant).

About author

I have read quite a few reviews for books and videos by Violet Blue and found her advice or criticisms to be spot on. When I saw that she had written two in-depth guides for oral sex I had to have them. I chose her guide to Fellatio and was amazed at her sensitive and delicate handling of the topic. Her frank and easy to read manner made the subject less about the best "porn" blowjob and more about really learning the anatomy and physiology of perfect oral sex.
In her foreword the author talks about her love of fellatio and that joy shines through.
Ms. Blue hits her mark with this book as it is less about how to get him off than it is about how to improve your relationship through really great communication.
Her writing style is frank, straightforward and no bullshit. She doesn't color her work with useless euphemism when the proper name is more appropriate. She takes her time to explain rather than glossing over to protect her reader's sensibilities, a fact that I appreciate enough to purchase all her guides to use as teaching tools for the many people who come to me for advice!

Content / Style / Audience

This book is all about how to give a mind blowing blowjob to that special man in your life, and I do mean EVERYTHING! The book starts out with Ms. Blue's foreword describing what prompted her to write this book. From the lack of good information about men's genitals to the insulting assumptions that are made about male sexuality there was fodder for this wonderful guide. The book starts with a comprehensive talk about being comfortable with both giving and receiving oral sex. The author is sensitive to the fact that for some men receiving oral sex is uncomfortable, scary or just plain unappealing. She discusses how to sensitively handle this fact so that you don't inadvertently shame your partner.
Then she moves into the complete anatomy of male genitalia, how it works, what makes it feel good and the cycle of arousal. There is plenty of information here for even the most skilled oral addict. The book even has all the details about flavor and cleanliness that people worry about secretly, there is advice about grooming and "flavoring" that is comprehensive and mature.
From here the book moves into some practical advice about practicing your technique and the safe ways to do this, (no bananas!). Ms. Blue offers some fun examples of male genital massage, foreplay games and advice on relaxation before launching the reader into their first taste. She discusses various piercings, how to avoid gagging, positions to help with various health issues all with sensitivity and straight talk.
The book gives in-depth help with the technique of deep-throating and from there spring boards into fetish play and gender roles. I was especially happy to see Ms. Blue touch on the fact that it doesn't make a man gay if he likes to role play sucking cock with a harness and dildo.
The book finishes with sections on independent study (erotic books and videos recommended by the author), resources and of course references. There is a short blurb on the last page about the author.

As if the writing style and frank language wasn't enough to recommend this book, there is an element of "but WAIT there's more!” Before writing this book Ms. Blue sent questionnaires about oral sex to hundreds of people in the US, Canada, and Europe. She received permission to quote the participants and the text is liberally sprinkled with anecdotes and stories.

This book is perfect for anyone who is not as experienced as they would like to be or for those looking for a refresher course on technique. The writing style is easy to follow and makes learning even the medical aspects of the male body fun. The author makes sure to educate her readers on the safer side of safer sex while doing her utmost to not inhibit their enthusiasm.

Design

The cover of the book is not safe for work since the title of the book is printed very prominently on the front cover in easy to read large, colorful print. There is a tame picture of a smiling woman and a relaxed smiling man lying on a bed to complete the front cover. The book is well made and should last through many readings with gentle care. It is paper back and slightly oversized.

The book has a very natural flow that moves easily from topic to topic building on the information presented before and still allowing the reader to pick and choose what interests them. The table of contents is highly detailed making finding specific information easy to find. It's very user friendly.

Personal comments

Both Sigel and Arch reacted with amusement when I mentioned that I would be reviewing this book. They both volunteered to be guinea pigs to further my learning, you understand. They are such humanitarians! Still I don't think any of us expected the book to be as comprehensive as it is. I learned so much about male anatomy and the different techniques that I was glad to face their sarcasm.
Follow-up commentary
Violet Blue is Sigel's new favorite author, she has taught me how to rock his world in technicolor...his words. Not too sure what he means, maybe that he saw colors when he orgasmed? Either way I am "allowed" to buy all her books, such a relief! :P
Arch was a bit more restrained but when I untied him he was just as enthusiastic! Seriously though this is a great book for learning the anatomy of a great blow job and suggestions to improve your own technique. Your guy (or strap-on) will thank you for spending the time to read this book.
