Eyes of Desire - dvd by Femme Productions - review by ~LaUr3n~

Ex-adult film star, Candida Royal created the Femme line adult movies when she made her transfer to director. This line of erotic films are from a female perspective and are geared towards women. These films are also great for watching with a partner. "Eyes of Desire" is one of these films.

"Eyes of Desire" is a full length, 75 minute, pornographic movie that has more depth than any I have ever seen. It is the first I've ever watched from beginning to end and this is because it is not your typical porn. It has a story and plot and isn't the typical scene, screw, cum, and cut that many adult films are. After watching "Eyes of Desire" I agree it is great for women, but also for men who are looking for something different, and especially for couples to watch together.

STORY:

After main character Lisa decides to step back from her relationship to mull things over, she retreats to her friend Amy's beautiful estate. While staying there Amy tells her of an abandoned home and shows her a telescope that she owns. Amy encourages Lisa to spy on her and surrounding neighbors. Lisa starts to feel a longing for. This prompts her to go on a whim of investigation into the mysterious abandoned house. She has an inkling someone has been watching her passionate encounters too. Where will Lisa's discovery and voyeurism lead her?

SCENES:

There are five major sexual scenes. I absolutely loved that I felt like I was doing the same spying that Lisa was. The scenes are complete; You see them from beginning to end and even though it is a porn of course, it isn't very graphic. A lot of times, after the initial penetration, the camera doesn't focus on it again for a minute or two. A lot of emphasis is placed on different body parts, kissing, and embraces. This got me worked up so much that I finished three times before the end of the movie. Sometimes what was left to imagination was better.

Since I don't want to give away the details of the mystery, I'll just describe the scenes.

1. Amy gives her boyfriend a strip tease. She grinds his leg and lays over his lap while he plays with her. At eleven minutes in, the first nudity appears as she receives oral. Then she reciprocates. I was momentarily turned off by the weird spotted member that this fellow had, but it was easy to get over. Then they have sex in various positions. This scene really impressed me with the cinematography and got me excited for the rest. By this point I had accepted that these actors really were adult film stars and not Academy Award winners, so I had made my peace with the slightly awkward acting at times.

2. Jamie, Lisa's boyfriend comes over and they start out similarly to the first scene. Oral is exchanged and then sex occurs in various positions. There is a lot of dirty talk and more rough play.

3. Lisa plays with herself in the tub and a slightly annoying repeat of flashbacks occur. I was a bit distracted from pleasure during this scene.

4. Here is the weirdest one of all. Lisa spies on a woman and a man dressed in womens clothes having an argument. I am unsure if this was supposed to be funny or serious, but I was put off shortly. This scene turned out to be the hottest of them all. They rip clothes off and strip. The male performs oral, then he forcefully guides oral on himself. This scene had some awesome positions. I found myself taking notes! After some rough sex, he ends up pulling out and finishing on her stomach. She licks it off afterward.

5. The final one I don't want to give away the people involved so I will just describe the acts. A female is directed to touch herself and strip. Oral is performed on both partners and the female gets fingered anally and vaginally as the male plays with himself. Their sex is extremely passionate.

It was a little heavy on the oral and I was left wanting an anal scene of some sort. But, overall there was a good balance of sexual acts.

In all honesty, the acting was good for a porn! You could tell they were giving their best effort at it and at some part were better than others. There were some corny lines, but every movie has that. Their sexual performances were good as well. I wasn't attracted to any of the guys in the film, but this is mostly due to the time of the film and styles that were popular then. A shining part of this movie is the directing and editing. I really felt like I was watching a movie with a lot of sex instead of a porn with some acting.

This DVD has some excellent features!
-It has a 6-part chapter selection which is great.
-Then there is a photo gallery of behind the scenes photos.
-There is a preview for "Eyes of Desire 2", which I also have. I am very excited to watch the second one! The first one is left a bit open.
-You can chose to listen to Candida's commentary.
-"Quick Takes"-This porn has bloopers!
-A very interesting not from Candida about the amazing capabilities and long lasting effects that this film can have on couples in terms of promoting positive sexual behavior and intimacy

This DVD is relatively discreet also. The front of the box looks like a romance movie. the back has a few small graphic pictures though. The side of the DVD isn't graphic either and would go unnoticed amongst other DVDs.

I am giving this DVD 5 stars. I liked it so much because of the story, female friendly scenes, editing, decent balance of sexual acts, that I made my peace with the lack of anal and the dated actors and setting. I may have made fun of some parts while watching it, but by the middle I was hooked to the story and by the end I couldn't wait to watch it with my partner. A very important part of this DVD is that is makes me feel comfortable to watch it with someone else. I don't have to risk becoming tense because of a degrading scene etc. I thoroughly enjoyed "Eyes with Desire" despite the few things I critiqued.
