A great candle. A great massage oil. But edible . . . how about we just say non-toxic instead?
The Suntouched Edible Candle is a great bedroom addition that can be used in both a sexual and a non-sexual way. It smells great, even though the scent is a bit too strong. It's technically edible, but it doesn't taste like anything. It is nice though to be able to kiss/lick areas that this has been used on without having a bad, oily taste. The wax gets nice and warm, but it doesn't get hot. I give this 4 out of 5 stars.Published: January 31, 2011

The Suntouched Edible Candle is an edible candle that turns into a massage oil as it melts. It comes in 3 different flavors. This review is based on the strawberry option.
The candle comes in a nice heart-shaped metal tin. It has a somewhat sensual/sexual picture on the lid and the ingredients/ directions on the bottom of the container. If you remove these 2 stickers, this becomes very discreet and it can be left out without any issues. The candle smells very nice, almost like a fruit roll-up or some other fruity food, but, the scent is way too strong. It filled my room with a strawberry scent while it was unlit and sitting in my closet. It comes with a little plastic spoon that is pretty pointless. The spoon melts if it gets anywhere near the flame, which is obviously very bad since you don't want to be inhaling those kind of fumes. It's easy enough to pour the wax right out of the container anyway.
Once the wax melts, it turns into massage oil. This worked much better than I expected. It feels good and spreads nicely. I've compared it to KY's "Touch Massage 2-in-1 warming" (it's an oil that says "body massage+personal lubricant") First off, I'll say that I definitely prefer the candle over the KY oil. The two main problems I've found with standard massage oils are that they sting when they get into any cuts you may have and they leave a slight oily/sticky feeling. The candle's massage oil didn't leave any residue nor did it sting the small cuts I have on my hands. Another benefit over the KY oil, is that the candle oil warms up with nothing more than a match. If you want warm massage oil, you have to warm up water, then you need a cup or bowl to put it in, then soak the bottle in the warm water but you want to make sure that the water isn't so hot that it melts the bottle . . . It's not a big deal until you've tried this candle and you realize just how much easier it can be.
When it comes to the temperature, it gets warm but it doesn't get hot. Everyone should be able to handle the heat without a problem. If you're hoping for this to get as hot as a regular candle, you're going to be disappointed.
As far as this candle being edible . . . ehhh. I prefer calling it non-toxic. It doesn't taste bad, but it doesn't taste good either. I was hoping that it would taste as good as it smells, but it really doesn't have any flavor. The ingredients are vegan and they are: Soybean oil, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, apricot oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, vitamin E, and flavor. (As this contains so many types of oil, I'm assuming that it's not safe with condoms. I'm not positive that these oils will damage condoms, but it's better safe than sorry) As far as yeast infections go, this candle is "vagina safe" since it doesn't have any sugar in it.
All in all this is a great candle and a great massage oil. I highly recommend it!

Experience
I am extremely sensitive to heat and I was worried that this candle would be too hot for me. To my surprise and enjoyment, it turned out to be perfect. It doesn't hurt any part of my body, and I actually found that it feels great being dripped onto and rubbed into my penis and scrotum. So, all in all, this candle's heat really shouldn't be a problem for anyone if it isn't a problem for me.
Follow-up commentary
9 days after original review
Well, I've been using this candle for a week now, and I still love it! Nothing has really changed. There may be a little less scent now, but, if anything, that's a plus. I'm extremely satisfied with this item, and I will most likely be ordering another one soon. Something to keep in mind though is that it is very important to follow the directions. You have to let this burn for a bit before you start pouring it; otherwise, the wax stays high on the sides of the candles, and the center burns out. I, uhhh . . . may know this from experience . . . cough, cough. It still gets 4 out of 5 stars. I'll give it 5 out of 5 stars as soon as they give it some flavor. Now stop reading this and go order one!!!

-
Was wondering if anyone else noticed that the description for this product states that it is 5lbs??? Now, Im no expert on massage candles here, but even the one that my wife has from booty parlor doesn't weigh that much and hers is in a ceramic holder! LOL. Just wonderin if that is a typo, or if Im seeing it right. Thanks!

Yeah that can't be right. A lot of the weight measurements for products are off. I'd guess that it's 5 ounces.

So you would pretty much be eating straight oil, right?
-
You're more supposed to lick it off of your partner after it's been rubbed in some. I guess it would kind of be like eating straight oil, but I wouldn't eat it right out of the container.

Who's tried this?
-
i was wondering what purpose anyone used it for other than the candle? & how they went about using it? i don't see myself eating this with a spoon!
-
It's a massage candle. You melt down the candle until there is a pool of wax and use it on various areas of the body. It's inedible in case you forget your senses and decide to lick those same areas.
-
The spoon is so that once the wax melts down, you can either pour it straight from the tin or spoon it out. It combines the edible massage thing with the hot wax fetish thing. I've never tried it, but we sell them at work and they smell really good. Particularly the vanilla ice cream, and the strawberry seriously smells like a package a fresh strawberries. I hope they taste just as good. If you try it, please write a review!
