A must have for every bedroom
Overall, Shunga exotic massage oil is a great addition to any bedroom. With a multitude of uses and variety of scents, it's sure to please everyone. A little goes a long way, so it is sure to last quite awhile, and it won't break the bank.Published: March 12, 2011
Pros:
Variety of scents, affordable, not greasy, multiple uses
Cons:
Application can get messy
This is, hands down, the best massage oil I have ever used, and I've tried quite a few. I was in the market for a good, high quality oil with a pleasant scent, and Shunga exotic massage oil went above and beyond that. The lavender is heavenly, but there is a scent available for every taste. Other oils I have tried tend to have a strong odor that can take away from sensual play, but the scent in Shunga massage oil is light and not distracting.
The oil gives a wonderful glide for massages and other play without being too greasy. Add some to your bath water and your skin will be soft and supple. It is perfect addition for a sensual couple's bath or a relaxing solo soak. It absorbs into the skin nicely and won't stain your sheets or clothing.
Personally, my partner loves to squirt some on my ass for when we are spooning during foreplay. It allows a nice slipperiness between my backside and his penis that we love, and the scent is so relaxing. I like to apply it to my nipples during long periods of play and it helps to avoid chafing. We have used it as lube during anal sex, and it provided enough slip to be comfortable for both parties, but it isn't something I would normally use it for.
I have also used it to aid in handjobs, and it lasted a good length of time before I needed to reapply. It is not something I would use for oral as it is not meant to be a flavored product. The scent lasts a long time, so long that after using it during play one evening, we awoke and the lovely scent still lingered on our bodies. On top of that, my skin felt ultra soft and smooth, and I didn't feel greasy.

Follow-up commentary
20 days after original review
I have nothing but positive things to say about my Shunga massage oil. My partner was like putty in my hands after a massage I gave him with it the other day. We use it on a regular basis, and the bottle is still over 3/4 full. It's just, overall, a great product with tons of applications. I'm in love!

We are wanting to try something new. We have tried the fruit scent and vanilla...which one should we try next?
-
The strawberries and champagne is probably the next scent I'm going to get myself.
-
I like the 'organica' scent. Very light pear scent.

I can't decide which scent to get! Any suggestions?

I personally love the fruit one, that one is my favorite. So that's my vote!

Which flavors would you reccomend?

for oral use of lubrication; and which brands?
Also: I just realized wthis for for massage oil. Not lubrication. Whoops! Please disregard. -
Personally, I think System JO H2O Flavored tastes the best.

Personally, I think System Jo H2O is crap.
I have tried Wet Flavored and really liked blueberry.
Also, I really like Tokyo Aroma in Mango/Melon!

Which do you like best? Shunga or Kama Sutra massage oils?
-
I've never tried Shunga but I have the massage therapy kit from Kama Sutra and I love it! Do the Shunga oils absorb as well as Kama Sutra? Which do you like better and why?
-
I personally like the Shunga oils better than the Kama Sutra oils for the scent. To me they absorb about the same, the Shunga ones might take a little bit longer to fully absorb if you go real heavy with them. But I love the candy scents that Shunga has.
-
Thats good that they absorb quickly. I love the Kama Sutra oils but I'd like to try a Shunga and see if I like it. Do they leave you sticky? I'd imagine something so sweet and candy like would leave a sticky feeling. I think I'd like to try the vanilla, rose, or lavender. Of course those ones are sold out right now I think.

Thank you for the review. I am surprised that every scent is in stock. I may have to get one of this before that is not a option.

I'm interested in getting the Lavender scent, but I'm unsure of how this smells and this is the only review I've found for that scent so far? Would you say it smells really floral? Or even remotely artificial? Or does it smell more like a lavender essential oil?
