The Shine on Lip gloss is lip gloss to add shine to your lips with a hint of color. There are a variety of colors to pick from. This is not the kind of gloss that most men are going to want to use due to the very feminine appearance and colors of this product. The gloss is effective in adding extra shine to your lips and providing a plump appearance. It is very thick, slick, and last a long time, but it is also very sticky and hard to get off. If you are looking for a gloss that doesn't come off even with constant licking, this is your gloss, however if you want something that isn't sticky and messy this is not for you.

The added ingredient of Sweet Almond Oil could be an allergy causing ingredient to those allergic to nuts.

Shine On is very thick and sticky. When you squeeze some out onto your lips and begin to spread it, you notice that it requires more than than you originally thought. It takes a decent amount to fully cover your lips. It is very sticky, so rubbing your lips together is not as easy as most glosses. When you squeeze it out of the tube you notice that it doesn't move, there is nothing runny about this gloss what so ever. It reminds me of sticky thick hair gel like this. When the gloss begins to dry, your lips will also dry and this requires reapplication of the gloss.

I have the Nude color, this has a dessert like smell to it, which is similar to vanilla cake, but it doesn't taste like this. The taste isn't bad in small amounts, but if you lick a decent amount it is very nasty tasting that is not describable.

If you want a very long lasting lip gloss that can outlast lip licking, eating, talking, or any other oral activities Shine On is it. However if you don't like thick or sticky this gloss is not for you. I personally do not like this gloss at all. I think it is too thick. I like to rub my lips together many times a day and this gloss just doesn't allow me to do that without the feeling my skin is going to rip. It does go one mostly clear and does provide a nice plumpness to my lips, but it leaves my lips very undesirable for kisses. It makes a mess if you want to take a drink out of your glass, smoke a cigarette, or kiss anyone, but the plus side is that you could use it to leave kisses on your love notes. When you want to wash off it requires a damp rag and some scrubbing. As you can see in the photo it goes on just about clear, but with a hint of color.

The gloss comes in a 15 mL tube that is inside of this box. This box has the ingredient list on it, but nothing else that is useful. The tube has a slanted dispenser with a hole in the middle, so you can use it to apply to your lips much easier without your fingers.

Polybutene- a polymer used as a viscosity agent and a plasticizer.

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil- extracted from the seeds of a Ricinus Communis Seed and used as conditioner.

Bees Wax- collected from the bee hive of honey bees and is used to thicken products.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride- a mixture of triester of glycerin caprylic/capric acids and is used as a conditioner.

Glycol Distearate- a natural occurring fatty acid that is a compound based on stearic acid and used as conditioner and viscosity controller.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil- extracted from the seed kernels off a sweet almond plant and is used as a skin conditioner.

Ethylhexyl Palmitate- a mixture of esters that are formed as a result of two ethylhexyl alcohol with adipic, palmitic, and stearic acids and is used as a conditioner.

Ascorbyl Palmitate- a natural occurring fatty acid that is composed of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and palmitic acid and used as a masking agent.

Tocopheryl Acetate- a skin conditioning agent that is a mixture of acetic acid and tocopherol (vitamin E.)

Squalane- a naturally occurring lipid that is found in plants and animals especially shark liver oil and is used as a skin conditioner.

Phenoxyethanol- used as a fragrance and a preservative that is used in many personal care items. European studies have found it harmful or toxic in products used around the mouth, but it is also has limited use for Japan's standards.

Ethylhexylglycerin- a glyceryl ether that is used as a weak preservative and as a skin conditioner.

Fragrance- is the perfume additive for scent. It is known to cause allergic reactions to those with sensitive skin.

Mica- is extremely brittle minerals that are used as colorant.

Titanium Dioxide- an inorganic compound used in beauty products like sun screen and make up, but it is used as a Colorant, Opacifying Agent, Sunscreen Agent, and Ultraviolet Light Absorber.

D&C Red No. 6- is a colorant, but is an FDA approve dye.

D&C Red No. 27- is a colorant, but it is FDA approved as a dye.

D&C Red No. 7- is a colorant that is FDA approved as a dye.

Iron Oxide Red- an inorganic compound that is used as a colorant.

Iron Oxide Yellow- an inorganic compound that is used as a colorant.

Iron Oxide Black- an inorganic compound that is used as a colorant.
