Shiny lip balm by Not Soap Radio - review by nanamondoute

This lip balm is meant as a over coat to lip products or other lip balms in order to give your lips a shiny finish. It acts as a lip gloss without quite its stickiness and not as much shine, depending on how much product you put on. It also works to make sure your lips keep moistened.

This product is mainly meant for women, unless men would like to have shiny lips as well. This can be used anywhere, especially as it comes in a small container so you can take it out and apply it with your fingers or lip brush whenever.

This lip balm is only composed of three ingredients (Petrolatum, Cottonseed oil, Flavor), so steer clear of this product if you are allergic to any of those.

The material is extremely soft for a lip balm, but it is still a solid in its container. It also melts a little to warmth, so the warmth of your fingers will help to make this more into a gel that you can put onto your lips. It's a little sticky, but not as bad as lip gloss.

Even with a lot of the product on my lips, it doesn't feel that greasy, which is good. However, it may get sticky enough that your hair may stick accidentally to your lips (which often happens to me with lip gloss).

On your lips, it's a pretty thin layer so it can't really be felt. It does make your lips seem smoother though.

The balm is slightly sweet with a slight lemony smell. The smell stays even on your lips, so don't buy this if you don't like that type of zesty smell. I like the smell, since it makes the product seem more fresh. But if you don't, do note that the smell is not overwhelming. The sweetness just seems like sugar to me, which I don't think should turn any customer away from buying it.

The product lasted for probably a few hours and then it disappeared. It's obviously going to be gone after you eat. However, it lasted long enough that I didn't have to keep reapplying throughout the day. I perhaps applied it twice in one day. Do note that the lip balm is meant to be a layer over your lips rather than being absorbed into your skin.

The lip balm works for its intended purposes to moisten your lips. My lips feel softer and smoother with it on. The smell and taste are just bonuses -- people who kiss you will definitely think you have sweet lips!

I've used this for a couple of weeks daily now and I'm probably a millimeter into the product. I'm guessing this will last for a few months -- maybe three or more.

The lip balm came in the container pictured on the product page. It's definitely small (about a little bit bigger than a quarter in diameter) so you can throw it in the purse and take it with you to whenever and wherever.

I think this shiny lip balm is worth its ~$5. It will last for a few months at the very least and it smells and tastes good. Plus, it gives your lips a slight pinkish tint because the product is a sheer pink. For someone like me, who has normally darker and purplish lips, the pink tint is welcome to make my lips look better.

I'm taking one star off simply because this balm wasn't amazing. It did its job pretty well, but it's not a product that makes me want to go buy five of them immediately afterward to stock up.
