Luxury bathing gel - bath and shower gel by Kama Sutra - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Luxury Bathing Gel from Kama Sutra can be used as a body wash, or as bubble bath, whatever you are in the mood for. No matter how I use it, I always feel fresh and clean.

Ingredients are: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauramide DEA, Glycerin, Fragrance, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa Seed Oil, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Sesamus Indicum Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Eugenol, Blue 1.

There are a lot of oils in here, but it is water based, so it will wash off easily. Yes, there is parabens and glycerin in it, so don’t use it as a feminine wash and you should be fine. If you are sensitive to fragrances and oils, then you might want to avoid getting this gel. The oils might cause breakouts for those who are prone to acne.

Like any good body wash, this gel is very thick. It lathers up very nicely, producing a nice soapy consistency so you can wash all the areas you want to. All the wonderful oils in this gel make my skin feel amazingly soft which was a huge winner for me. Other body washes I have tried dried up my skin, thus making it crack. Not fun.

There’s no way I’m tasting this product because it is not meant for ingestion. The smell is a little salty, reminiscent of the ocean. If you have the Treasure of the Sea from the same company, this is exactly the same scent. At first, it can be a little overpowering, then it slowly dissipates. The smell lingers on the skin for a little while which some people may or may not like.

As a body wash, this gel does a great job of making me feel clean and refreshed. There are too many oils in it for me to be comfortable using it on my hair, but it conditions my skin very well. I only need a couple of pumps to get a good lather to cover my body.

For a bubble bath, all you need is a couple of pumps under running water and in no time, you’ll be swimming in bubbles. You won’t get mountains of bubbles, but you’ll have enough to produce a nice relaxing atmosphere.

I’m not a huge fan of the scent because I prefer more floral type scents, and this smell lingers a lot longer than I’d like. Ocean Bliss is neither a masculine or feminine smell, so both sexes can use this.

The bathing gell comes in a large bottle containing 17.5 fl.oz which will last a really long time. It has a pump top for easy dispensing. It comes with a plastic loop to keep the pump from accidentally getting pressed when you don’t want to use it. All the product information and ingredients are on the bottle, and there is nothing inappropriate or offensive on it. This would be a nice gift for a friend/partner/family member.
