Absolutely Love It!

Overall, if you don't mind peppermint (which I LOVE), this is a great product. It's okay for sensitive skin - Because like I said, it isn't too harsh, but isn't too light. It exfoliates just perfectly. Great for all-over-body usage, especially on legs between and before shaves. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good way to get rid of dead skin.

Use

I bought this product because I really needed something to exfoliate my legs before shaving, and in between shaves. I like to keep my skin smooth and soft, and avoid rough patches from regular skin stress. I have tried tons of scrubs with no success. They are always either too harsh, or just not "scrubby" enough. Thankfully, I've found the one for me and it will remain my favorite for life!

The only allergy concerns I can think of is if you are allergic to peppermint, walnut, almond or coconut... Otherwise, all you need to worry about is if you're sensitive to glycerine or not. This is a soap-based product.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This product is very thick - which is very good. You only need a little to cover each leg. About a nickel-sized amount, if that. You get more scrub than soap, which is also nice. But it isn't so chunky that there's not enough soap. So this can be used as a body wash as well.

The ingredients list "Walnut Seed Powder", but it's a little more than a powder. You get some really big pieces. However, that's a good thing, because I doubt a powder would do anyone good as far as exfoliating.

You do have to give the bottle a squeeze. It wont just pour out. The bottle isn't easy to squeeze so you end up with a little dent from where you squeezed it, but that's not a big deal to me.

Taste / Aroma

The aroma, honestly, is a little odd. Peppermint, almond, coconut, and walnut.... It's just not something you would expect. However, since the peppermint is what you get the most of, I don't mind it too much. I just think the combination of things they chose to scent this product is weird.

The peppermint aroma is very strong. Some have said it was overpowering on other websites and blogs, but I don't find it to be overpowering. Peppermint is one of my favorite scents, and I use the actual oil a lot. So it's no biggie to me. It leaves a nice tingly feeling on the skin too! Really helps before shaving, as it temporarily numbs any discomfort you might have.

Performance

I've had my bottle for going on... 4 months. I am left with about 1/2 of an inch left as of today. I've used it at least 4 times a week, so it's really a great deal. I must admit that. The bottle is quite large, so you get your money's worth!

The product works well. It does a great job of exfoliating the skin, and my legs have never been softer! I always thought that I just had large pores, but it was really just a huge layer of dead skin making it appear that way. Now, when I shave I am left with those "Goddess" legs that you see on the Venus commercials on TV. It's fantastic!

It washes off very easily, so you don't have to spend forever trying to get it off of your legs. I bought one exfoliant in the past that might as well have been made with glue as a base. I had to wash it off forever. But a simple rinse will take this stuff off.

Packaging

You get a nice bottle with the Bella Il Fiore pink design that comes with all of their products. It says "Sugar, Sugar" (the name of the body scrub) and it lists the Peppermint Almond Coconut scent. Ingredients are on the back:

Aloe barbadensis leaf extract, sodium laureth sulfate, coamidopropyl betaine, PEG-18 glyceryl oleate/cocoate, glycerin, juglans regia (walnut) shell powder, sucrose, polyethylene, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, panax ginseng root extract, anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower extract, calendula officinalis flower extract, echiacea angustifolia (coneflower) extract, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), sodium pca, allantoin, panthenol, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, triethanolamine, fragrance

There are quite a lot of ingredients in this product. I'm usually one to go for organics, so when I see a huge list of ingredients I become wary. However, looking at it, you don't see too many non-organic ingredients which is fine with me. It does have no triclosan and this product is free of parabens.

The bottle has a snap open/snap shut top. It stays shut well, meaning that this is perfect for travel. I took it to the coast last month and I did worry it would leak in my suit case, but it didn't leak a bit. The packaging is just wonderful.

NOTE: For those who are wondering if there are sexual references anywhere on the bottle - No, there are not. This is totally safe to leave around children or really anyone.

Personal comments

NOTE: I do want to add that this product does not dissolve. It does leave behind the walnut seed powder when you wash it off. If you have drain problems, I would consider maybe getting a foot soaking tub for this, or a drain stopper. My husband said that things like this can build up over time and cause problems in the long-run. CLR cleaner will help with this if you pour it down the drain.

Experience

My experience with this product was fabulous. I rarely rave about these types of products, but this is one that I will be in love with for as long as I can purchase it. It is probably the best exfoliator I have come across... EVER! My husband also has a bottle and uses it on his face between shaves, about once a week, and his face is looking awesome!
Follow-up commentary
Today I started to like this stuff more. I used it around my nails to get rid of dead cuticle skin... worked wonders! This stuff is my favorite for LIFE!
