Pheromone soy massage candle by Classic Erotica - review by ambowers85

My husband and I have tried several different massage candles throughout our relationship, with that being said this particular candle was not as high on our list of favorites. I am a huge fan of massage candles, this brand just seemed to be lacking in a few areas. The Pheromone Soy Massage Candle from Classic Erotica is not all bad and had a few good things we liked.

We tried the Strawberries and Champagne soy massage candle because we both love the smell of strawberries. The smell was amazing and will last a good couple of hours after being blown out, it really helps to set the mood and keep it. If you just want to use the scent of this candle to help set the mood you won't even have to light it, as soon as you remove the lid to the candle you immediately begin to smell it. We have an average size bedroom which is where the candle was located and the smell easily filled our room.

This candle came packaged in a small tin with a volume of 4.2 fl.oz. and a weight of 4 oz, the candle itself is solid and white. The candle does state that you get around 30hrs of burn time. We are still working on burning our candle so I cannot agree nor disagree with this statement. When I first decided to light the candle I noticed it only took about 10 minutes to melt enough to be able to use. When the candle is melted and ready to be used as massage oil it becomes a clear liquid. The packaging was very discreet in my opinion since it looked as though it was an everyday candle with a cute container and labeling. The how to use instructions as well as warning labels about the HOT factor were clearly written on the bottom of the tin. Due to the small size and lid on this candle I do feel that it will travel nicely almost anywhere.

Now here is where we began to run into our dislikes. The candle does not come with any way to get the melted massage oil out of the tin and onto your partner. We tried to carefully pour the massage oil, which resulted in a big mess since it didn't stay in place well and ran. It also ran down the side of the tin and dried there very quickly. Once we began our massage I noticed the warm feeling of the oil was great and a very nice feature to any massage but that was the only sensation that happened and it did not last very long. The product states that it has pheromone qualities that I just did not feel measured up. The massage oil itself was a little greasy but not so much so that I was turned off. Once the massage oil begins to harden and return to its wax form it leaves a layer of wax on the skin that had been massaged, this was a major disappointment because at this point I just want to shower!!

If you want to try this product yourself I would consider it great for couple use or even as a gift. I don’t feel like this product can be compare to normal massage oil due to the fact that it will harden back up during and after use. I would not recommend it for someone who is strictly looking for a massage oil product. I would defiantly have some concern for people with sensitive skin and the use of this candle since the scent is so strong it could cause irritation. I could see this product clogging pores and causing problems due to the fact that it will harden and leave a thin layer of wax on your skin.

When my husband and I used this product for the first time we were not very satisfied. We have used similar products in the past and, unlike those products, this one will only be used for scent from now on. When applying this product we personally did not feel the pheromone portion of this product worked, did it smell amazing? Yes! Did the smell help set the mood? Absolutely! That is all it helped do in my opinion. The massage oil did not blend well or absorb into the skin and instead began to harden back into wax form during the massage. Once we realized what was happening we were careful not to get the product onto our bed or sheets. Luckily we had laid an extra blanket down just in case, because the small amount that did get away from us was hard to remove from fabric. I'm sure everyone has had the experience of removing hard wax from fabric, it's no simple task! Due to our not so great experience we have not used this candle again for its intended purpose; we do however light the candle when we want to set a mood with scents.
