An Excellent Scrub!

This is a great body scrub to rejuvenate your skin. It lightly scents the skin, but most of all, makes you feel clean and refreshed.

Use

The Venus Body Scrub is an excellent scrub to use in the shower to clear away any dry excess skin. This works well as a scrub because it contains many little grits that help scrape everything off your skin, making it look hydrated and healthy. It doesn’t take long to scrub the whole body, so even if you need to shower in a hurry, this is still a beneficial product to use.

Ingredients: dead sea salt, sumice, aqua, tea lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, carbomer oleth 20, glyceterth 26, frarance, benzophenone 4, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, imidiazolidinyl urea, triethanalamine, disodium edta. May contain: fd&c yellow5, fd&c yellow 6, fd&c red 33, fd&c blue 1.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The scrub is about as thick as liquid soap, maybe even a tad thicker. You can definitely feel the sea salts in it which some people might find to feel too rough. It spreads around easily with just using your hands.

Taste / Aroma

This is not meant for ingestion so I didn’t taste it. I chose the cucumber melon scent, but there are a variety of others to choose from. The cucumber melon is nice and light, so if you don’t like overpowering fragrances, this one is nice. The scent is true to its name, but it's heavier on the melon.

Performance

I have grown accustom to using a bar of soap that contains little grits to shed some rough skin so this was a nice change for me. I pour a fairly large dab in the palm of my hand and rub this stuff all over my body using my hands. I make sure to stand away from the stream of running water when scrubbing myself down, so I can make sure all areas have been covered. It washes off easily, but I always use a body wash after using this to make sure all the sea salts have gone. This scrub clears away my dry spots and gives my skin a healthy glow. I highly recommend adding this to your shower routine.

Packaging

The scrub comes in an 8 fl.oz bottle with a twist off cap. The bottle is nice and sturdy, and I haven’t had any problems with it leaking. The bottle contains all the information you need, and no one will know where you got it from, so you can leave it out and everyone will think it’s just a regular body scrub.

Nice review, glad to know this one works well for you. I had a mixed experience with the Mandarin Mango body scrub. Which brings me to one question, or maybe 2 ha! First, smelling the scrub from the bottle, how strong is the Cucumber Melon vs the salt small? and second, when rubbing it on your body did you smell more cucumber melon or saltiness?

@mike I can't smell the salt at all. The scent is very sweet with the melon being the strongest and there's just a hint of cucumber. Hope that helps, it's definitely very refreshing.

I'm quite certain this was the same brand of body scrub my aunt always used before she passed away. Wish I could remember the scent she used. But I do love this scent and green tea. Deciding between the two is a dirty little skank, lol. Thanks for the review!
