Edible treats discontinued

An interesting idea, but it falls short.

This is only okay. It does what it says it will, but it doesn't do it well. It's a cute idea that doesn't exactly pan out in reality.

Pros
Solid chocolate, semi-sweet instead of the typical milk or dark.

I have to say, this is probably one of the weirdest things I’ve tried. I was given this by my sister, because we have a joke about bathing in chocolate. At first I thought it was just for eating, but when I saw the description on the back “this delicious treat will melt your hands, your mouths, and all over your bodies for a sensuous chocolate mess”, I realized it was actually a sensual product. So after looking it up on here, I realized exactly how you were supposed to use it. I have to tell you, I thought it was a stupid idea but decided to try it anyways; because the product had no actual reviews, and people should know what they’re getting.

The bar is about the size of a regular bar of soap, and solid semi-sweet chocolate. I can’t say it’s the best tasting chocolate I’ve ever had, but it’s not the worst. Really, it didn’t taste very good mixed with water, but what chocolate would? It’s wrapped in shiny golden foil, and packaged in a small cardboard box.

So into the shower we went. Under the steamy water, we unwrapped the bar from its foil. We both pressed against each other under the showerhead, and I tried to stroke it onto my man’s chest. It didn’t work right away, because it took a bit to wear off the clear coating you tend to find on cheaper chocolates.

Once I did, the real chocolate began to melt onto his skin. I had to drag the bar very slowly to get it to actually spread. Let’s face it, chocolate was not mean to be taken into the shower for melting purposes. Once the chocolate was on it had a tendency to sort of wax over, which repelled water (a good thing), and also made it hard to lick off (a not so good thing).

After a while my tongue got tired, from trying to work it off of his skin; since I had to put a little muscle into it. I decided that I really didn’t care for the product, but my boyfriend still wanted to give it a try so he had his turn.

By this point the chocolate was a lot softer from being in the steam for several minutes, so it spread much easier. Also, by this point the chocolate was no longer waxing over on the skin as much, making it a little easier to lick off.

My boyfriend said that seeing my breasts and stomach covered in melted chocolate was probably one of the sexiest things he had ever seen, and that licking it off was just as good. He asked if I wanted another go, but I was pretty much over it by then, I just wanted him at that point. And that was the end of our chocolate shower bar.

Overall I’m going to give this a rating of three stars. My boyfriend somewhat enjoyed the product, but I just did not. In short: Did the product do what it promised? Yes. But did it do it well? No. I think that from now on, I’ll keep my chocolate out of the shower and use a nice body wash instead.

Hmmm sounds like it might be a bit more fun out of the shower like a more traditional honey dust type product. Kudos to you for actually trying it out and good to hear your boyfriend liked the product.

    Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review. This is certainly an interesting idea but I can see how it might not work that well in the shower.

    Good review.

How easy was it to wash off the chocolate that didn't get licked off?

Also, were you able to save what was left of the bar after the shower - or was there just not any left?

What a weird idea. I mean who wants to lick a mess in the shower? LOL
I guess a quality hand-made chocolate soap in the shower and a sugar-free chocolate sauce in the bedroom would be better
