Anti-kissing balm
The title "Kissing balm" would only be fitting it the word "anti" was placed in front of it! The greasy look and feel of this lip balm will send any chance of any kisses running!Published: February 10, 2012
Pros:
Smells good
Cons:
Horrible greasy feeling, expensive, definitely not kissable.
I bought the Sensuous Beauty Kissing balm last month because I wanted something to put on my usually naked lips to make them look and feel more appealing, healthy, and kissable. The results from this lip product were far from desirable and for once I would actually discourage people from purchasing this product! I am so disappointed. For anyone who has this item saved onto their wish list right now, please do yourself a favor and cross it off!
I originally ordered both the honey rose and the honey orange kissing balm varieties because I was so excited about this product after reading the product description. The description promises a beautifully moisturizing lip balm that glides onto your lips smoothly and doesn't become sticky or tacky that invites your loved one to get a little bit closer. I will hand it to them, it does go on smooth and it is not sticky, but it is incredibly greasy! After applying this lip balm I felt like I had just dipped my lips and finger into a tub of lard and smeared it all over my face. I would not want to be kissing anyone who is wearing this "kissing balm".
The honey rose and honey orange scents are both lovely and it is made of mostly natural ingredients such as raw honey, vitamin E, organic coconut oil, and almond oil. But something in the formula has got to be off. Maybe it is all the oils in the lip balm, I don't know. I do know that if I would have read some of the reviews of the Sensuous Beauty Kissing Balm on Eden Fantasys and if I would have known what I know now about this product, I would have never purchased it.
Besides being a dud of a product, it was also fairly hefty on the pocket book! Sure you get a 0.5 fluid ounce jar of the lip balm, but you are spending $17.99 for each jar, and I ordered 2! What was I thinking? $17.99 might be nothing for a half ounce jar of lip balm if the product actually did what the product description promised and with the Sensuous Beauty Kissing Balm, that just was not the case!

Why is it so expensive? It looks like it'd feel great on my lips, especially with rose, but I don't know..
-
Usually, any explanation of price falls into two categories:
1) The manufacturer put more money into the product (quality ingredients, extensive testing, etc.), and thus the price reflects that.
2) The price is high because people will pay it (brand recognition; think "Apple"), regardless of the real quality.
Take your pick. -
It's got lots of ingredients and many of them are expensive (coconut and almond oils, etc) plus it's a luxury item.

Thank you for viewing Kissing balm – edible treats review page!

thanks for the review! I'll be sure to stay away from this one.
Good Job.
What a shame to hear that this is so greasy... from the way you made it sound, I don't think I would like this very much either.
Sorry, it didn't sound like it was great.
Sorry this didn't work out for you. Thanks for the warning!
Thanks for the warning. I'll skip this.
This sounds absolutely horrible. For that price I would expect the best balm ever. Thanks for the honest review!
Awesome review!
good review, thanks for sharing.
Sorry it didn't work out for you
Good review
I'd say there was something up with the batch you received cause my first one (Rose) is absolutely beautiful lip balm. It's the best balm I have used. I love it so much that I just bought a second one in my order today.
Disappointing that yours was so greasy.
