The Little Afterglow Sampler by JimmyJane makes an excellent gift for someone in your life. You can choose to keep a couple for yourself and gift the rest, or simply gift the whole box. It comes with six different tantalizing scents that are sure to awaken your sensuality. You can even mix and match them during romantic encounters to excite your senses.

These are great for foreplay or a nice after sex massage.

While these work excellent for their intended purpose, I wish there was a stronger scent to them when it comes to filing up a room. Once in a while I can smell a whiff of scent when I walk by any of the candles, but they don't fill the rooms. Again I am aware this isn't the intended use, but who wouldn't love a dual candle?

The oil in these candles is of a nice, medium thickness. It's smooth, pours and spreads evenly, and absorbs nicely into the skin. The scent lingers for quite some time, leaving me feeling smooth and sexy all day long.

For some reason, the Pink Lotus that I have gathers moisture on the top of it. I don't know if it is because of the ingredients or what, but none of the other candles do this. There were moisture beads on top before I even opened it, and for some reason it's like that after every burn as well.

Each candle has its own intoxicating scent. I personally favor the Pink Lotus and the Truffle + Gardenia.

The candles are divided into three categories: Wit, Charm, and Kink. Each candle has a special thing that it is supposed to attribute:

The Pink Lotus smells like a fresh flower mixed with a subtle hint of spice. I really like this one! It is paired with "Connect", and is said to help strengthen connections.

The Dark Vanilla is actually a really good scent. I usually don't care for Vanilla smells but I liked this one. It is paired with "Flirt".

The Truffle + Gardenia is intoxicating. It's paired with seduction and in my experience it is paired accurately. Upon smelling this candle I instantly became aroused. It has a strong flowery smell, with subtle hints of chocolate (Note to readers: I now know that truffles are actually fungi... ewwwww. Except for the chocolate truffles which, hopefully, this one is named after which are made of cream and ganache).


The Bourbon smells like, well, Bourbon! It has hints of caramel and is paired with "Intrigue". It does indeed intrigue.

The Cucumber Water smells really refreshing but it is very strong. I'm not partial to this particular "flavor" of scents so it did not appeal to me as well as the others. It is paired with "Explore".

The Grapefruit is very strong and with an overbearing scent of citrus. I really don't care for this one either. On Jimmyjane's website it is listed as having notes of Grapefruit, Bell Pepper, and Mandarin. It is paired with "Provoke".

One of the nice features of the Afterglow Sampler kit is that it comes with an "Experience Guide", to lead you through a night of romance and passion. It suggests different combinations of scents to use on Him and Her for a wonderful session!

Upon lighting the Pink Lotus I thought I went to heaven. It did fill my room up pretty good throughout the night, but that seems to be the only time that the scent was strong. I couldn't keep my hands off of myself for the whole night. I poured some onto my skin and rubbed myself down, taking in the smooth velvety scent.

The Truffle and Gardenia is just as good. That one accompanied me in one of my bubble bath sessions, and soaked wonderfully into my skin. Of course it didn't stay very long as I was in the tub.

They burn clean and long. Just make sure to let the oil melt all the way to the ends before pouring, to ensure even levels!


These candles are excellent for their intended purpose, although I wish their scent would fill a room. When rubbed into the skin the scent is amazing and lasts with you for a while, but depending on the scent they don't work good for scenting the air. I understand that the intended use of these candles is for massage, but some might like to use them for aromatherapy as well.

The sampler comes packaged in a nice, thick cardboard box with a matte finish and is very classy looking. Inside the candles are nestled in a cardboard cutout, under a description of each "flavor" and what it induces (seduction, sensuality, charm).

It also comes with an instruction booklet in about five different languages, and the awesome Experience Guide I mentioned above.

There is a lengthy list of ingredients for each candle. The main components of each seem to be Soybean Oil, Shea Butter, Palmarosa Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. The site claims that these primary ingredients are body safe and contain no parabens, phthalates, sulfates or petrochemicals.
