Before and after toy cleaner review

The Before and After Toy Cleaner by Holiday Products just sounded too good to be true. All I had to do was spray it on, wipe it off and me toy would be clean? I read all the reviews for it, and thought “heck, even if it doesn’t work I’m only out ten bucks.” So I ordered some to try.
I’ve always been frustrated with cleaning my toys. It is annoying after sex to go to the bathroom to scrub the toys you just got done using. So the idea of being able to lay in bed and spray the toy down then wipe it off with a paper towel sounded great; it really appealed to the laziness in me.
As soon as I received the toy cleaner I tested it out on a random toy from my toy box. It took a few sprays to cover it, and I wiped it off easily. The toy was left with a new scent. It wasn’t really a perfume smell, just clean. It put me in the mind of the way fabreeze smells. I was still a little skeptical though. Just warm water would be able to clean an already clean toy, so this test didn’t reveal much besides the pleasant scent that the cleaner gives to your toys.
After a 2 hour session of hot sex with my husband, I had a couple toys that really did need to be cleaned. This time I finally allowed myself to believe that this truly is a great product. I am careless with toys after I’m done using them but before washing, so some of them end up on the floor and pick up cat hair, human hair, and lots of little fuzzies. I lay in bed and just picked up the nearest toy. I sprayed it a few times and wiped it off with a paper towel. It was clean! I mean really clean! The fuzzies were gone, the dried body fluids were gone, the lube was gone; everything was gone! I was left with a squeaky clean toy that looked like it was brand new, only it smelled better!
The next day I dumped my box of toys out onto the bed. I took each one out of its plastic zip-lock baggy and gave it a good cleaning with my new toy cleaner. I have a jelly cock ring that I’ve had for about a month, and was curious if this would help with the smell. I tested it out, and while it doesn’t completely get rid of the jelly stench, it definitely made it better. I felt really good once all my toys were cleaned and put back into their little bags; all clean and ready for my next use. Even after cleaning a box full of toys, I could hardly tell I had used any out of the bottle. I was really impressed with this cleaner.

I have nearly used up my bottle of Before and After Toy cleaner. It has been just over 3 months since I purchased this bottle of cleaner, and it has changed my after-sex clean-up forever. I only have about an inch left in the bottom of the bottle, but it is lasting quite well. I will buy more soon so I don't run out completely. There is no need for me to try any other toy cleaner, as this one has worked out very well for me. I recommend this product to everyone I know who uses toys. I love the way my toys always smell so clean :)

Is it both a lubricant and a sanitizer? how does that work?

It is not a lubricant but merely cleans the toys. When the toy is sitting around, it gathers fungal spores, dust, and bacteria.

Before you use it it sits there and looks pretty :P
In theory you're supposed to use it before you use your toys and then after you use your toys to ensure optimal cleanness. At least according to the bottle.

Before & After Toy Cleaner...

This one got lots of great reviews, but I've got a couple of questions for all you reviewers who use this. The description says you have to "spray, wipe, then rinse" but most of the reviews say no rinsing required. Can you guys confirm there's no residue if you don't rinse? One review mentioned it didn't clean the crevices of textured toys well. Anyone else have that experience? Would you say it replaces the soap & water routine completely?

Nah, it doesn't replace soap and water, in my opinion. It may be because I've used soap and water for so long, but I just don't see the benefit to spraying something and then wiping it off. I find the cleaner hard to wipe off on toys w/ texture, and maybe I'm nuts, but then I don't feel like a toy is really clean. It would do in a pinch, but I don't mind soap and water so that's what I go for 90% of the time.

Oh, wow! I thought all of these had to be rinsed off afterward, so didn't really see the point in using them instead of soap. You didn't experience any irritation using the toys you'd cleaned with it afterward? Definitely going on my wish list and in my next order!
No irritation at all with this, not even for my husband who has super sensitive skin. The instructions actually say 1. Spray on... 2. Wipe off... 3. Have fun! My favorite part about the toy is being able to clean my toys while I'm still lying on the bed exhausted from all the vigorous play. I am soooo lazy

Dame Demi- You're welcome! I wasn't expecting much from this stuff, but I was really impressed by it. Anything that allows me to be lazy after sex is great. I use this all the time now. I bet you'll love it as much as I do!
Adriana- yes it is antibacterial, so it kills germs. This should be about the same as using antibacterial hand soap, only it is WAY more convenient and it is formulated special for sex toys.
