Bellissima two bar set - soap discontinued by Principessa Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

These bars of soap from Principessa Beauty are really not that different from any other soap out there, but if you know you or someone else you gift this to will use them, this is a good purchase to make. I prefer to use this in the bath or shower but you can also use it as a hand soap. Only use this soap externally and get a feminine wash for your more sensitive areas.

The ingredients are: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water, Glycerin, Fragrance, Palm Acid, Palm Kernel Acid, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Sodium Lactate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Methyl Gluceth-20, Sodium CHloride, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Red 33, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate.

The soap is hard like any normal bar of soap. There are tiny little bumps that appear on the bar every once in a while but they aren’t enough to scrub the skin very well. I am a huge fan of the Dove Go Fresh soaps which are very gritty, so I find I have to use a body scrubber with this particular soap.

Each of the bars is about 1” inch thick, 2” wide, and 3” long. Each is individually wrapped in plastic. The edges are pretty rough at first but round out nicely as you use the soap more and more.

These are scented with Principessa Beauty’s signature Isolina scent. I also have their Isolina body wash, but the scent on this soap is much much lighter. It’s as light as detergent. This is great for those who don’t like powerful perfumed aromas in their bathrooms. I imagine this tastes like soap so we won’t be going there.

I really don’t like the price for two bars of soap, but they are great quality. The soap doesn’t become soft if it’s in contact with water too long, smells nice, and it doesn’t dry out my skin (it’s the complete opposite of Ivory soap).

The two bars come in a beautiful stirdy box with a bow on top. You can use it for storing other items when you are done with the soap. I find it’s the perfect size for the two sets of nipple clamps I have.

The soap melts very very slowly, even with constant use with a wash cloth and body scrubber, so they will last pretty long. The ingredients are very nourishing to the skin, and I think they would make for a nice gift.
