Berry sweet kiss

If you're looking for a balm that is sweet, organic, won't feel tacky and leaves your lips hydrated, this is a balm to try! It feels light on the lips and has a faint sweet taste and smell. It delivers moisture like it says it will.

Use

EOS Organic lip balm is just that, a lip balm. It is different from others in that it's organic and doesn't contain all that extra "yuck" in its makeup. This balm is safe to use every day and as much as you please. You don't have to have dry, cracked lips to use it. It's nice to smooth on to gives your lips a kiss of protection and light scent and taste. The tube is small enough to slip into a pocket or toss into a purse. Keep one with you wherever you go! The design isn't something that guys would be embarrassed to be caught with, which means it isn't directed at just one gender or the other.

The ingredients are:
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Beeswax (Cire D’abeille)*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract*, Tocopherol, Limonene*, Linalool*. *Organic. Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The consistency of the balm is thin and sort of waxy, though it doesn't feel sticky and heavy like say, Carmex. Some people described it as thick, but I'm a lip balm fanatic, I've tired many, and this to me is just the right consistency. It smooths on easily and and feels velvety when rubbing your lips together to get it rubbed in. It stays in place and keeps its shape, though it does start to round off on the edges, but all balms do that after being used a few times.

Taste / Aroma

The particular flavor that I am reviewing is Pomegranate raspberry. While I'm not a fan of pomegranate, I was iffy about giving this a go, but after much debate, I decided to toss it in with an order. I'm glad I did! It has a light, sweet berry taste to it. It isn't overbearing, but it's there. It's not something that will make you cringe if you lick your lips, like Carmex does! Along with the berry sweet taste is a matching, light berry sweet scent. You can smell it while applying it and every now and then while wearing it, I will catch a whiff of the faint smell.

Performance

This balm really does the job at hydrating dry lips. It helps to prevent and heal chapped lips. Depending on how much you apply and how often you lick your lips will ultimately determine how many times you reapply it. I use it several times throughout the day, but I'm also one of those people that has to have soft lips, if I feel them start to dry, I grab a stick! I probably put it on more than the average person. My friends always tease me because they claim I'm addicted to lip balm and lotion! I like having soft skin and lips, and soft lips you will have with this balm!

If you wanted to wash it off, it's easy. A quick swipe with a baby wipe will take it right off.

Packaging

I like the tube it comes in. It has a twist bottom that is easy to use. The cap has a dip in the top, sort of like a thumb print, I just really liked that about the cap. Since it's larger it's a bit easier to get on than the normal smaller caps that you normally see with lip balms. This tube is something men and women will both feel comfortable having on their person.

Experience

I used to be addicted to Carmex, and then I was told some bad stuff about it and told only to use it if I got a cold sore. It was a hard habit to break! I then switched to Burt's Bees, which I still swear by, use and recommend. I love the cooling feeling that Burt's gives you. But sometimes I just want something different. Again, it took awhile to get used to wearing a balm that doesn't give that cooling feel but after days of resisting the Burt's, I can wear regular balm and be comfortable. I liked the look of the tube, that is what first made me choose this, weird, I know. It was also the reason I chose their balm that comes in the little spheres. I was happy with the light scent and taste of EOS's balms. They really are nice and moisturize well. Though I do have to caution, unless you like medicinal taste, do not get the tangerine one, it is medicated and it tastes and smells medicated. I had to toss it. I wasn't fond of the lemon either. The sweet mint and pomegranate raspberry are my favorites.
Follow-up commentary
While I like this balm, especially this flavor, I would only purchase it again on a good sale since I have recently found a company that sells lip balm that I'm crazy about. The EOS balm does condition and it feels nice, but I like something with a bit more flavor to wear all the time.

oooh, this stuff sounds great. I am forever trying to find the solution for my frequently-dry lips! If this had aloe in it it'd be perfect, but I think you've still talked me into trying it.

It's worth a try, I like it! But I recently discovered a company called Crazy Rumors and I LOVE their lip balm. It's the absolute BEST smelling and tasting that I have used. I'd choose those over EOS any day. But both are good!
