Beyond Euphoric is a sensational massage lotion by Jimmyjane that has a multitude of uses to go way beyond what your basic massage lotion can do. You see, it not only works well on a partner for a relaxing massage but it can also be used daily as a luxuriant body lotion. That's because it's made with natural plant extracts to promote the release of Beta-Endorphins which create a sense of well being. Ylang Ylang oil is just one of those extracts as well as Coconut and Monoi Oils. Coconut and Monoi Oils have long been used by French Polynesians for moisturizing and nourishing the skin. But, the best thing about this massage lotion is that out of respect for your well being, Jimmyjane has kept their products free of dubious additives. Yes, this massage lotion is free of mineral oil, propylene glycol, active extracts, parabens, glycerin, synthetic fragrances and animal products. Jimmyjane lotions are also never tested on animals!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Beyond Euphoric has a luxuriously creamy texture that spreads easily over your skin and leaves behind a clump free sheen. It never became runny and always stayed where it was put until it was rubbed into the skin. The tube-like bottle is easy to squeeze so it's a piece of cake to dispense just the right amount needed.

Taste / Aroma

There is a light, natural scent of Ylang Ylang with this massage lotion that is quite pleasing and relaxing. It lingers on the skin long after the massage is over but it's not overpowering at all. It's a light, fresh scent similar to a citrus fruit but a bit more perfumey. It really isn't a feminine or masculine scent though so anyone should be able to enjoy the light, clean scent!

It is recommended for external use only as well as to keep it out of the reach of children and pets so it probably isn't a good idea to ingest this one but if you find yourself wanting to give your partner a few kisses along with the massage, there really isn't a bad taste from this product. It's more like a medicinal type taste which is quite different from regular lotions or unflavored massage oils.

Performance

Beyond Euphoric is not only designed to provide you with a luxurious massage but it also nourishes your skin so it quickly absorbs into dehydrated areas. This can cause a need for reapplication, especially if you or your partner have dry skin. Once the skin has been properly hydrated, a thin, slippery sheen is present for about 15 minutes. If you encounter too much friction, it's a good idea to lotion your hands up too because it's possible that the lotion will be absorbed into the hands of the one performing the massage. Adding water will not reactivate the slickness either. A massaging toy could prove to be more beneficial in this instance such as the Octo-pleaser or the Contour I. It truly is a fantastic sensation to feel your hands gliding through the creamy lotion over your lovers body as you both enjoy the relaxing scent of Ylang Ylang though!

Clean up isn't complicated because the product generally absorbs completely into your skin. If you happen to end up with excess on your hands, it rinses off easily with warm water. Even after rinsing off, your skin remains softer and smoother to the touch for some silky sensations to follow in the bedroom!

Packaging

The packaging consists of a cardboard box that is just a bit larger than the product itself. The main overall color is white and there are no distasteful illustrations. It simply explains information about the product and there's even a manual included for more information. This manual is written in five different languages to help it be more useful to a wider range of users. The manual does recommend to test a small amount of the lotion on your skin prior to using it all over. It further states that you should discontinue use if you develop any kind of allergic reaction.

The tube-like bottle has a flip-top lid that clicks closed securely. The container is easy to squeeze for dispensing the lotion. It's very similar to the squeeze type containers of normal lotions but this one definitely closes securely to protect against accidental spills.

Special Features

There really is no added sensation associated with this lotion but it does provide you with some aromatherapy thanks to the natural scent of various plant extracts! It's a relaxing scent that helps set the mood for a wonderful massage.

Personal comments

Be advised that this lotion is not compatible with condoms. You should use caution whilst putting one on in the event that your hands are covered in lotion.

The ingredients are as follows: Purified water (Aqua), Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) seed oil, emulsifying wax NF, caprylic/capric triglyceride, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) and Gardenia tahitenis (Monoi) oil, Rhodiola rosea (Rose Root) extract, dimethicone, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) extract, Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang) oil, Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) oil, tocopherol (Vitamin E) acetate and ascorbyl palmitate (Vitamin C Ester), ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), xanthan, potassium sorbate, phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol.

Experience

During very dry or hot days, this lotion works great to bring hydration and softness back while at the same time promoting a nice fresh scent that leaves my skin touchable and inviting. It does not contain any kind of SPF protection from the suns rays but it can help rehydrate your skin after any exposure that can leave your skin depleted of moisture. It's fun to rehydrate both of our skin at the same time too! Something about massaging it in while breathing in the aroma can be quite the aphrodisiac and that makes it perfect to use for foreplay too!

Would you recommend this over a massage oil? It seems to me that oil would just be the better material for massages.

Thanks for your question Adriana Ravenlust! Actually, it would just really depend on what your looking for. I like massage oils mostly because I can warm them up in a bowl of warm water but they are so runny! I usually make a huge mess with them but this lotion, on the other hand, isn't runny. You can't really warm it up but it's been so hot here lately that I don't really want to right now anyway. I usually can't stand the residue that oils leave behind either. I always feel the need to go shower it off. This lotion doesn't really leave anything behind that makes me feel that way so it definitely gets points from me there! I think that oils are slicker though so they both have their upsides. I really don't think that this lotion will replace all of my favorite massage oils but I really do love it so it's hard for me to say. It just really depends on what you like. I hope all that at least helped some and thanks again! Smile
