Magic Wand Original - massager by Vibratex - review by TehCouch

The Hitachi Wand is not a sexy toy. It is bulky, heavy, and very limited by the length of the cord. Not great for couples, as it makes most positions awkward. Despite this, I am still insistent on a 5 star review.

This device is an industrial strength, reliable, well made massaging machine. If there are times when dinky little vibrators aren't cutting it, this is the answer. The controls are manned by a simple switch, though the "low" setting can only be considered low after you've experienced "high" for a while. This wand can really push a person over the edge when nothing else will.

If used for an extended period of time, numbness can be expected. This was a real problem for me when used for clitoral stimulation. It can take a while for me to get from A to B, and despite the "low" setting, this vibrator had me worn out before I even got excited about it. The intensity combined with the size make it nearly impossible to tease a partner with. Really, I found it's best used sparingly and on ones own. (Unless you want to tie it to someone; if they can take it, the wand certainly can.)

At home this will make a great addition to your bedroom, and chances are that is where it will stay. It isn't discrete or very travel friendly. You certainly cannot take it into the shower or bath. It is pretty easy to clean, since there's no insertion, but the ridges in the material (on the head) don't really help.

I've got to say, my partner and I did put this item to the test. It was used almost daily, and sometimes for a couple of hours during a session. Regardless, it held out amazingly well. Nearly three years after we bought it, it began to rattle and go out. I am sure that is it due to our overuse and the strain we put on it, not any fault of the manufacturers. Even though I'm looking to try something new and different, our closet won't be complete without a replacement Hitachi Wand.
