Body finger paint - glow review
The Body Finger Paint is definitely fun to play with as long as you have black lights at home or are going out to a club. Just don't expect a lot of color varietyPublished: February 27, 2008
Pros:
Fun putting on, very little smell, no skin reaction, a little goes a long way
Cons:
Not enough color variety, really had to slather it on for it to glow in the dark
My experience with body paints has only been with the edible kind, and they left much to be desired for me. They were generally too sweet, or I had issues with allergies; so I was looking for something a little different.
I was excited when these finally showed up at my door. Monday night isn’t generally considered a going out night for us, but we were thinking of heading down to the fetish club and now had the perfect excuse.
I quickly stripped my girlfriend down and was able to convince her to let me paint her. She was a little worried about skin reactions at first, but after testing a spot for fifteen minutes, it proved to cause no reactions even on her sensitive skin.
Our next concern was smell, and these were surprisingly odorless. There was a slight soapy smell that did not linger. I had gotten a collection of brushes for the occasion and proceeded to work on my canvas.
These paints were a ton of fun to play with. The use of the brushes on her skin made her break out in goose bumps and the more than occasionally giggle. I painted her entire body with butterflies, vines, and flowers, and I was pleasantly surprised with how far the little pots of paint went.
When I was finally done, I stepped back to attempt to survey my job. The paint does very little and barely shows up in regular light, so I wasn’t very sure how my paint job was going to turn out. I closed the doors, drew the shades, and turned off the lights. My canvas was very prettily aglow. I could see fairly well most of the paint where I had put it on, but it didn’t show up well where I hadn’t slathered it on.
Then I turned on our black lights. Wow! If you buy these paints, they are definitely for use with a black light. Now she was a pure riot of color, and every little brush stroke turned up in sharp relief.
My only complaint was that three of the four colors were nearly identical to each other, and my creation wasn’t as colorful as I had hoped. My canvas was still very pleased with the way she turned out. So pleased in fact with our whole process of creating her that we never actually made it out.
A nice highlight is that the paints don’t rub off easily on each other once they’re dry. I would easily recommend these paints (Body finger paint - glow) to others with the caveat that I wish they came in greater color variety.

Body-Friendly Products?

I don't know much about the materials used in sex toys, but the fact that something as simple as body paint can contain such harmful substances as parabens concerns me. Is there some kind of safety standard that all sex toys and products must conform to?
-
Unfortunately, there's no standard. Sex toys and accessories basically go unregulated, and it's up to the manufacturers to hold themselves to the safety and quality standards they set for themselves. Some companies (Tantus, for example) focus on producing only high-quality, body-safe products, while others are less scrupulous.
It's basically up to the buyer to become savvy about what they buy and who they buy it from. -
In the United States, it's basically "buyer beware". The same goes for household cleaners, cosmetics, toiletries and products made of plastics and rubbers.

Thank you for viewing Body finger paint - glow – body paint review page!

You said not enough color variety? Could you mix the colors together?
You certainly can mix the paints but it doesn't change the colors under the black light because the three colors really are almost identical.
Are the colors just not saturated enough or are they too similar in nature? Which three colors are almost identical? What other colors would you want available?
I've never tried body paints before--now I'm interested!
I think black light makes all the colours just seem bright white, yellow, or blue. Never seen much red or green. But I don't know, maybe ALL glow body paint sucks haha :] Thanks for the review!
