Breast balm - body moisturizer discontinued by Sensuous Beauty - review by Heather Shadrick

The Breast Balm by Sensuous Beauty is a must-have for me as an after-shower product. I always use it after the shower because it works best on warm, moist skin. I decided to try to get the balm because I am pregnant and most of us know all to well about stretch marks on your breasts, belly, and hips during the time it takes for that bun in the oven to get toasty. This Breast Balm is great for anyone and any skin type. It's great for extremely dry skin and the rose scent lifts your mood instantly as you feel like you're standing in the middle of a beautiful rose garden.

The only thing I can see on the ingredients that is a common allergy for people is the almond oil. You probably shouldn't use it if you have an allergy to nuts. Read the label before use and if you're not sure about an ingredient, look it up. I would also suggest spot testing before use if you have any concerns.

The texture of this booby balm is sort of like a greasy candle wax, or any other kind of 'balm' you have seen or used before. It's very thick and sort of hard, but when you rub it between your hands, the heat of the friction softens it so you can spread it more evenly. It doesn't feel sticky or greasy after you rub it into your skin. It leaves you feeling soft and aromatic. The balm is hard, sticky, and greasy, and I almost wish it were creamier or easier to apply, but if it were I don't think it would go as far. Also, it's not easy to make a mess of it. I would say if you get it on your clothing, it would be a greasy stain, but not sure as I haven't yet.

I haven't tasted the balm, but I'm positive it's not for that. Ha ha! The floral smell of the breast balm is strong, but it's literally as if you are smelling a real rose. When I first opened the jar I was overcome by the scent and loved it immediately, but the off green color of the balm was sort of weird to me at first. I don't know how great the Violet scent smells, but I'd recommend the Rose scent to anyone. I don't think the balm is edible, the information just says unflavored.

While this sensual Breast Balm seems to moisturize throughout most of the day, the scent only lasts a few hours. You don't have to wash it off. It is a moisturizing balm and the skin absorbs it pretty well, but it does seem to do much better when you come right out of the shower. If you needed to wash the balm off, it comes off pretty easy with soap and warm water. The weird green color makes the Breast Balm look 'all natural,' but I think pink would be better for this one and purple, maybe, for the Violet. I loved everything else about the product. Its amazing!

The Breast Balm comes in a glass jar with a black plastic lid. It is labeled with a decorative orange-ish sticker on the lid and the side of the jar. It plainly says 'Breast Balm', but it's so quaint that I don't think people would notice. The jar is 3 fl. oz., but don't be fooled. This stuff goes a long way. I wouldn't take the balm on any road trips where it may be exposed to any heat. I think it would probably melt and cause a huge mess for you. There may be no mess, but there is fuss. The balm should come with a scoop to get it out with.

The rose scent will lift up your mood. Aromatherapy!

The retail price of the Breast Balm is just short of $30. I thought this was a bit pricey for 3 oz. of some weird, green stuff. After I used the product I was simply amazed. I could see something similar going for around $50 at the mall. It's totally worth the price and very high quality.

I loved it simply because it works how it's supposed to and it smells great. It was a wonderful experience trying out the Breast Balm!
